  1. Are you looking to move him? Let's have a discussion.
  2. The Mariners just dealt Alex Colome to the White Sox for Omar Narvaez.
  3. Just when it looked like Dipoto was going to take GMBVW to the cleaners in his first ever trade... Dipoto gon' Dipoto.
  4. For what it's worth, I'd gladly remain in the league until someone deemed worthy comes along to take over.
  5. Latest word is that the Mets are fighting to keep McNeil out of the deal, but I'm assuming the Mariners are trying everything they can to have him included. Jeff McNeil might be better than Robinson Cano right now, not even considering age, experience, or contracts of either player. It's obviously that much more lopsided in favour of McNeil when you account for Cano's massive contract that pays him into his age-40 season. This is all so bizarre. I have no idea what's going on.
  6. Not that I've yet seen, but you'd have to assume it's a significant amount. That being said, with McNeil now out of the deal, it might've just become less money.
  7. Mets reportedly pulled McNeil from the deal. Dunn is still in the deal, though.

    19-4, baby!
  9. For those scoring at home, assuming things stay as they are and no money exchanges hands in the deal, the Mets will be giving up Jeff McNeil + Jarred Kelenic + Justin Dunn for Edwin Diaz + the right to take on an additional $83.5M in likely dead salary over the next five years, even after getting the modest contracts of Bruce and Swarzak off the books. Maybe stick to agenting, Brodie.
  10. BVW is dumn as f***.
  11. Jerry Dipoto gets his jollies from trading, clearly. If Edwin Diaz went from being "untouchable" to "on the verge of being traded" in only a few days, I hope Ross Atkins is already attempting to persuade Dipoto into trading Mitch Haniger.
  12. I voted no because I feel like that side of the vote is being horribly represented. Plus, whoever takes over my team will have the league's best pitching staff. If it makes you feel better, Jim, I would've likely ultimately declined that offer. Also, I think it'll be nice to get some new participants in the board leagues.
  13. Damn.
  14. Lol Mets:
  15. Russell Martin Available On Trade Market Blue Jays catcher Russell Martin is generating some degree of interest on the trade market, per Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports (allTwitterlinks). The Jays are willing to pay a “significant” portion of the final $20MM on Martin’s contract, per Passan, and have already discussed him with other clubs. He’ll make $20MM in the final season of a backloaded five-year, $82MM contract next season, and while his 15.9 percent walk rate was sensational, his overall .194/.338/.325 batting line leaves plenty to be desired. Martin was undoubtedly harmed by a .234 average on balls in play, but that’s perhaps not as unlucky as some might think at first glance. While that .234 mark is well south of his career .283 BABIP, Martin saw his line-drive rate drop by nearly 10 percent this past season — from 23.7 percent in 2017 to 14 percent in 2018. He also posted a career-worst 19.4 percent infield-fly rate and hit the ball on the ground at a career-high 51.2 percent clip. For a 35-year-old catcher whose once-surprising speed has largely evaporated, that’s not a great trend. Defensively, Martin’s once-excellent caught-stealing rate has waned over the past three seasons (22 percent in 2018 — six percent below the league average), but Baseball Prospectus still grades him as a premium framer and blocker. As for demand, there’s no shortage of contenders or hopeful contenders who could use upgrades. The Dodgers, Astros, Rockies, Angels, Twins, Red Sox, Mets, Brewers and Phillies could all conceivably explore the market, as could a number of teams that are either in the midst of a rebuild or retooling process (e.g. Mariners, Tigers). https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2018/11/mlb-trade-rumors-francisco-cervelli-russell-martin-pirates-blue-jays.html
  16. I can't wait for the draft to start in a few days!
  17. That's stunning, in all honesty.
  18. This episode is finally up on YouTube. Please excuse the delay, everyone.
  19. Sounds like Spiderman threw that load right in her.

Jeff Skinner is a bad man. 18 goals in his last 18 games.
  21. The Jays claimed Drake last year, didn't they?
  22. Looks like he knew no team was going to give him more than a year so he jumped on the highest one year offer. Worked out pretty well for him. Gets the same salary as last season despite missing most of the year. Problem for him is that even if he has a great 2019, he will hit next year's market at age 34. His chances of making big money long term is probably gone.
  23. It's a 1-yr/$23M deal for Donaldson.
