  1. Nah, we need a home that's properly maintained.
  2. Interesting. Maybe you want to write a real-life, based-on-a-true-story screenplay about the 2019 Toronto Blue Jays as it happens? I'll even give you a place to write it.
  3. That's perfect. I'll be in touch with you soon!

Just saying it like it is.
  5. In the deep, dark reaches of the internet, there exists a Radio Scouts website that has not yet been released for public consumption. What we'd like to do is to bring that baby to the people, but it would be more worthwhile if this website could produce regular content, like articles, in addition to the podcast. John Havok and I are possibilities to contribute written words to the site. As it is, I've been planning to write an in-depth accompanying article (with reports and grades) for our Jays top prospects podcast at some point during the offseason. Would anyone else be interested in writing about the Jays and/or MLB? The gig would not pay, but it might be a great opportunity to get your name and writing talents out there to the world. I know that we've all gotten older, and probably busier, since Breaking Blue was first launched (which, by the way, was a rousing success - multiple writers got hired by the Blue Jays as a result), but we have some obviously gifted writers here and I'm hopeful that at least a couple of you can find the time to join us. Let me know below if you're interested, please. Hoping to get anywhere from 2-6 people.
  6. What are the chances that Vlad's bat is ultimately better than Trout's (not including the baserunning and defensive value that Trout provides)? That would normally be an absurd question - and maybe it still is considering Vlad's 19 and hasn't played a game in the MLB - but he avoids strike outs at an elite level, which is something Trout hasn't ever done. Has there ever been a prospect like Vlad before? Pedigree combined with an elite hit tool and power, and the numbers obviously speak for themselves. To cap it all off, he's only 19 and what he's doing at that age to level is literally unprecedented. While I don't want to get ahead of myself, I feel like it's a fun question to explore.
  7. "We each get one word on Vlad - who's got the best one?" "Superman." "Goat." "Generational." "I'll just say this about Vlad: we could nitpick his defense, but who gives a flying f*** about his defense at this point. If he ends up at third base, first base, left field, or DH, we're talking about a 19-year-old kid who is a young Pujols, Miguel Cabrera, Frank Thomas (with the bat)."
  8. "I just love this kid, I think he's one of the very few pitchers in baseball who profiles as a top of the rotation guy." Fap fap fap

The finals will be easy to make
  15. To add to this, the forum used to default to showing who's online up to an inactivity period of 20 minutes. Now, it seems to show that people are online for a period of an inactivity of around 72 hours or so. Because of that, most of us are showing as being perpetually online when that's just not the case. Would this just be a simple tweak, admin?
  16. Thanks, man. I'm not sure what I ever did to you, but I'm glad to know where I stand.
  17. So I can count on your vote for best poster this year?
  18. Santiago Espinal. He's actually interesting. Currently playing in the AFL, for the record.
  19. *checks web address* Weird, I could've sworn for a minute that I'd stumbled onto Reddit. Might be time to pack this place in, boys and girls.
  20. Fuld has withdrawn his name from consideration, FYI.
  21. I thought this was deserving of its own thread. According to Shi Davidi, multiple league sources have indicated that the Blue Jays have now trimmed their once-large pool of aspiring replacement managers down to five. While that's only four of the five accounted for, I love that none of the curmudgeonly geriatrics - guys like Girardi, Matheny, Showalter, Wedge, etc. - are seemingly being strongly considered here. These are all rookie managers, which indicates to me that the FO likely values a manager that possesses a willingness to adapt to and employ new analytically-based strategies. It's kind of exciting that things appear as though they will materialize this way. Ross Atkins out there just doin' his thing. It still sucks that there will be no more Gibby, but this is shaping up to look pretty good, all things considered. Relevant. 22. I wonder how many more times you'll have to say the same thing but in a different way before the point hits home.
