  1. Holy crap, Bautista has a 0.111 BABIP and still has a 107 wRC+.
  2. Depends on the 2016 budget. Reyes/Martin/Donaldson/Edwin/Bautista will cost about $100 million if Edwin and Baitista are retained.
  3. Toe injury. He won't miss time.
  4. Dallas Keuchel is talented and handsome.
  5. What the hell is DRA?
  6. Car might not even be moving.
  7. Yeah. Looked very fair at the time, but obviously Travis has looked a lot better than Gose so far.
  8. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/chris-iannettas-transformation/ This is an interesting little article about Chris Iannetta making himself a better framer.
  9. I don't get it. People are surprised that Stroman has a nice car?
  10. Mark Trumbo just hit his third triple of the year lol.
  11. Not bad. Velo still 89, and will need to creep back to 90-91.
  12. You probably should have known this shoe was going to drop.
  13. Dinger and I's last two deals have involved 4 players in two 1:1 swaps: Waino - died Braun - sucks, multiple injuries Jennings - sucks, bad knee Cishek - sucks?
  14. You first with a Jennings update plz.
  15. Abreu and Robertson in the DDL
  16. Goddamit.
  17. So... are the games going to be played?
  18. You're so hostile all the time.
  19. FFS, can we please just get Kawasaki up and on the bench for the rest of the year?
  20. This is a good post. As much as it might make sense to not have defined roles, the players aren't necessarily going to be comfortable with things being run that way. The closer spot means a lot to the players, even if it shouldn't. To them, it's a coveted position to be earned. You have to put in your time, prove yourself, and maybe after a few years you'll get a chance. In Cecil's mind (and and likely the rest of the team's), he's earned the spot. He's the longest-tenured member of the pen, he's been dominant for two years, and he was anointed as closer in March. To pull him from the spot after one game, and hand it to a rookie who hasn't pitched in AA, is going to piss him off. And it's going to piss off a lot of vets on the team. He's managing people here, not numbers. I've always appreciated his pen management, but haven't been on the same page with him at all this season.
  21. I can see not wanting to trade Hoffman for Stanton. You can very easily defend passing on that contract.
