  1. He should be very good for you until he gets hurt.
  2. Yeah. I'm a lot more comfortable with my waiver adds like Gee, and Whitley than I would be running Dickey out there.
  3. I hadn't really looked at his numbers before today. Holy f*** has he ever been bad. 4.5 K/9 and 3.8 BB/9.
  4. Sanchez has been every bit as bad as 2012 Romero. The only difference is a bit of ERA luck over a small sample.
  5. Mark Buehrle has a 15-year track record of being a reliable above-average major league starter. Aaron Sanchez has sucked since turning pro.
  6. It would be very upsetting for all of us if Pomeranz were looking dominant.
  7. Yikes. TB is paying for years of amazing pitching health.
  8. 2014 fWAR Kansas City = 38.6 Toronto = 35
  9. What issues do you have with offensive WAR?
  10. Man, David Robertson has just been silly good: 12 IP, 1 BB, 21 K 0.59 xFIP.
  11. Man, the Astros are fun to watch. A lot of players with pretty unique skill sets. They just need Correa up at short and a couple of reliable starters behind Keuchel and McHugh and they'll be very. very good.
  12. He has 11 walks and 8 Ks in his last two starts. Getting better. This forum is unbelievable.
  13. definitely fatcow
  14. A few framing runs from being the best player in baseball so far: http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=bat&lg=all&qual=y&type=8&season=2015&month=0&season1=2015&ind=0&team=0&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0&sort=21,d
  15. After breaking the "he sucks" option into three different choices. You're worse at posting than Sanchez is at pitching.
  16. His xFIP is almost 5. You can argue that he has a talent for inducing weak contact. You might be right. Maybe you project something like a 0.3 difference between his ERA and DIPS (which is higher than you would ever project). His current true talent is still like 4.6 in that extremely generous case. You can't run a 4.6 ERA guy out there every 5th day.
  17. San Diego has the best pitching staff in baseball every year!
  18. Nobody wants him blowing games in the bullpen. They want him in AAA trying to figure out how to become a good pitcher.
  19. That's not the argument. The argument is whether he can actually warrant a roster spot. To warrant a roster spot he needs to be better than replacement. A 0 WAR Goins is part of the problem. So far in his career his at -0.4 fWAR, with well-regarded defense.
  20. Yes. But it doesn't matter what Goins' UZR is because he's such a bad hitter and baserunner. He'd need to be like a +20 defensive shortstop to have any kind of value, but he's probably not a +20 defensive shortstop. That's Andrelton Simmons good.
  21. Sure. You're looking at UZR after a 66 inning sample.
  22. Yeah, that was ugly.
