  1. A lot of good hitters have seemingly fallen off a cliff at a youngish age after years of steady production: Craig Cargo Choo Butler Bruce Seems like it's pretty uncommon to have so many in a short period. Maybe not.
  2. Well it's not just what I say, it's the truth. We have ways of evaluating things like this. Goins has been s*** this year, and has been s*** his whole career. He sucks, and you were wrong when you argued over hundreds of posts that he would be a league-average player.
  3. He's not. That's how you're wrong.
  4. This is basically every post you made about Ryan Goins, which you were wrong about.
  5. Yeah. Then the mods could ban anyone who voted for 1 or 2, and in doing so greatly improve the forum.
  6. Options 3-5 are pretty much the same thing...
  7. I didn't see a single inning, but I still know his performance yesterday was terrible.
  8. It seems like every time Sanchez walks more guys than he strikes out everyone bends over backwards to explain how 2-3 of the walks were unlucky walks.

Seems like a pretty reactionary move to one missed playoffs after a pretty awesome 7-year run that included a championship. Is there really someone better out there waiting to be hired?
  10. Holy f*** the main forum. Sanchez has more walks than strikeouts and is right there with Gibson, Butler, and Pelf in the conversation for worst pitcher in a starting rotation this year, but it's OK because he's a rookie and has a decent ERA.

I know I'm late, but what exactly did Peter Chiarelli do to get fired? Just not getting enough for Seguin?
  12. To paraphrase from a wise man who's also pretty dumn: you are the only person who cares about this.
  13. Yeah, it's on the front office for sure. Obviously the fans don't really listen when minor league coaches talk a player up, not should they. It's an endless stream of worthless noise. The FO absolutely has to know when a guy who's been in the system for 4 years can catch at an above average level though.
  14. lol, no he's not. He's had two consecutive outings in which he's pitched terribly and not been burned. It happens all the time. He's walked 11 and struck out 8 in his last two starts, lol.
  15. Nobody had any reason to believe that Yan Gomes could catch. There isn't a good way for fans to evaluate minor league defense, especially for a catcher, and the team that drafted and developed him for four years didn't think he could catch. As it turns out, the jays were more incompetent than anyone could have possibly imagined and he's a plus at everything on the defensive side. People were wrong about Gomes, but the information that led to an incorrect assessment was a lot more questionable than the information we have on Sanchez (or any MLB pitcher).
  16. I like it for you. Sell on a 31-year old pitcher who hasn't exactly been healthy and get a potential long term solution at a tough position.

  18. Matt Kemp really sucks.
  19. Min has gone straight-up cold blooded.
