  1. Recent franchise player likability rankings: Halladay >>>>>> Edwin>Donaldson>Bautista
  2. The goal should probably be to assemble an organization that has a chance almost every year, not a team with a 1-2 year window of contention. The nature of playoffs is that you're probably going to need to make them multiple times to win it all, even if you stand a better chance than everyone else in a given year.
  3. A lot of people seem to forget that hitters have a pretty big impact on the outcome of the AB. Price was good yesterday. The Royals were better.
  4. For real? That's pretty embarrassing. I hope the Jays don't do that if they bow out here."2015 AL East Champs" will suffice.
  5. lol jaysblue
  6. Who runs silvergun's team anyway?
  7. Without getting in to what I thought about the trade, I hate when this team's 20+ years of ineptitude gets factored into the evaluation of trades they made. Renting Price has to make sense from the day of the trade going forward. Sure, a fan is entitled to think whatever they want, but giving the front office a pass for going all in because 22 years is taking it too far. The fans will want a winner in 2018 as much as they want one now. They just don't know it yet.
  8. Why was Orlando brought in for Rios with the 2-run lead today instead of Dyson? Orlando is a better defender than Rios, but Dyson is about as elite as it gets. Yost doesn't seem to realize how good Dyson is.
  9. The thought of trotting out Mark Buehrle and his 4 K/9 as a situation lefty in a playoff game is equal parts hilarious and terrifying.
  10. I think KC is a fair bit more dangerous than Texas. Deeper offense (especially considering Beltre missed two games), possibly the best team defense in baseball, and they won't be rolling out left-handed pitching for 80% of the games. They also have home field advantage and a team perfectly suited to Kaufman stadium. Texas was not a good team at all. KC is.
  11. Oh god, please let this not become a thing.
  12. Of course not. It looks like Goins' fault. But everyone knows that already. There's no need for the superstar 10-year vet to tell the national media that it's on Goins.
  13. You'd probably have to pay someone to find a copy online and send it to you. I don't think you can just buy a coy of it on the up and up.
  14. OK. Relevance?
  15. Not really the point. What's done is done. Nothing is accomplished by having the leader of the team put the responsibility on a rookie.
  16. So Travis d'Arnaud is really f***ing good.
  17. Pretty cringe-worthy. 34-year old vet and a young fringy kid involved, I would have expected something like "I should have taken charge. I didn't. It's my bad".
  18. Wow, Bautista came off as a dick in his comments about the play after. Kind of threw Goins under the bus.
  19. Goddamn Cespedes has an arm
  20. His usage has been very puzzling. Maybe he's banged up a bit or something?
  21. The Royals apparently have more ways to beat you than Toronto. Holy f*** the Fox crew.
  22. Holy f*** Herrera has been good these two games. Gas.
  23. So apparently Yost believes Orlando is a better player than Dyson?
