  1. A few top prospects? I'm not seeing prospects good enough that the Reds are going to pay tens of millions of dollars for.
  2. I wouldn't go that far. I don't have an emotional attachment to the team, but I think Shapiro has a chance to build something special, and hope he does.
  3. I hope this happens, more for the sake of interest than anything. It would be fun to watch a new regime shape the team going forward.
  4. Yeah. The knuckleball is a known FIP beater, and there's an effect of Dickey being a great defender. RA-9 WAR is better for him.
  5. And that undervalues him. His defense and pitch mix maxes him a legit FIP-beater, and there's also the Dickey effect.
  6. But for three years here it's been 200+ useful innings, plus the Dickey effect. I don't think you replace his production for a safer commitment than 1/12.
  7. They have a 12M team option.
  8. Ripping him? I think he will and should walk away from Price. I'll just get a chuckle out of his public defense of it.
  9. It was annoying when AA thought he could just infuse a few units of character by punting wins on guys like Vizquel and De Rosa, but at least that seems to be a thing of the past.
  10. "We made what we felt was an offer that reflected David's value to our team, but he decided to go in a different direction. We wish him all the best in Los Angeles"
  11. The thought process here probably went something along the lines of "our rookie manager just oversaw an epic clubhouse collapse that helped tank the preseason world series favourite, so let's hire a guy with a track record of being well-liked by his players". I don't really blame them TBH.
  12. Grant, Boxy, Dinger, njh, Hurl and BTS all involved in a silly flame war thread on the toronto blue jays message boards. Throwback to 2008.
  13. This thread is the rare argument between people who believe exactly the same thing.
  14. Poor Grant. It's been a rocky reintegration.
  15. I think I asked you about him 2-3 times before the season. Bullet dodged.
  16. But you didn't actually know anything.
  17. A lot of people bringing up Fister lately. He looked finished this year. Fastball sitting mid-80s and like 5% swinging strike rate. Would not sign.
  18. Watching Latos pitch is awful. He's like a douchier Papelbon.
  19. Has anyone looked into whether or not the turf has an effect on the likelihood that a ground ball becomes an out in RC? If so, that would make GB pitchers more appealing than they would already be.
  20. GIF fist pumping your own burn is acceptable. GIF laughing at your own joke would be gauche. And you can't fall from rock bottom.
  21. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LzrrTnS2asY/TieWFH_GLZI/AAAAAAAARGg/nVt895S0d-M/s1600/FGfistpunp.gif
  22. Don't worry, JFaS doesn't know much about it either.
  23. Your winning % is like 33% in a league of people that don't watch hockey, so I'm going to assume this is wrong.
  24. Maybe get better shooters. Also, goalies that don't suck.
  25. Then you're getting demolished by a dumn guy in the WTPDL this week. Feel good?
