  1. He's now rich, famous, married, and pushing 40. The time for worrying about his giant ass have passed.
  2. Yeah. Would be like selling the farm for Strasburg then being like "s*** happens, not much you can do" when his arm explodes.
  3. I don't think this is really accurate lol
  4. There was nothing wrong with it. It was a good deal. It's just unfair to give him credit for that while giving him a pass on the same deal in the opposite direction (the Hill trade).
  5. You can't simultaneously praise AA for the Rasmus and Escobar deals and call the Hill deal a wash. I understand why he made the deal, but it didn't work out, at all.
  6. Napoli for Francisco d'Arnaud, Syndergaard, Becerra, Buck for Dickey and Thole, Nickeas Aviles and Gomes for Esmil Rogers Marlins trade Hill for Johnson vs. Donaldson Wells Escobar Lawrie Rasmus Morrow I'd be a bit surprised if someone did the math and found that the good far outweighed the bad.
  7. It's still just 550 innings. Around the same time the wheels fell off for Hellickson.
  8. Wouldn't it make sense to wait until I do it before calling me out for it?
  9. Probably also still reeling from losing his "CCC will cruise past 30 hometowns" bet to me.
  10. He'll make like 525K
  11. What a vagine
  12. Dickey's IP are part of the value he provides. RA-9 gives both credit for their actual run prevention while also crediting them for IP. I thought it was fair if we're discussing who would be the better value this year.
  13. Lock it in at $25?
  14. What better way would there be to evaluate Estrada and Dickey? Both are FIP beaters, and a legit part of the argument for Dickey over Estrada is that Dickey is a good bet for 220 innings and Estrada topped out at 180 this year.
  15. So you think Estrada is the better investment but won't bet on him being more valuable. Your dumn. Boxy?
  16. What about RA-9 WAR?
  17. Boxy and Dinger: Estrada vs. Dickey 2016 ERA and IP wager? I don't believe the Estrada is better.
  18. Dickey for me.
  19. You forgot the 5th OF making 21M. It will take years to clean the financial mess up.
  20. I wonder how Walt Jocketty would react to that phone call. "Hey Walt, you guys are poor as s*** and obviously can't afford your MVP candidate. I'm thinking we send you a few mid-tier prospects for him. Also, you eat, say, $50M. Deal?"
  21. Yankees have to be salivating at the thought of adding a mid-prime star to their ageing lineup. He's perfect for crust short RF porch too.
  22. Well... your dumn
  23. The Donaldson trade was pretty much unanimously considered a pillaging from the moment it was made, and that trade is praised constantly. I'm pretty sure I show the appropriate reverence to it like twice a month. I don't really think people are ignoring the Donaldson trade.
  24. Payroll isn't really on him. And the Dodgers are good. Also, weren't you all over Zaidi's nuts up until now?
