I'm just generally against clearing out proven talent to open a starting role for someone who hasn't proven that they can be effective. It's a great way to leave yourself no depth. If Pompey isn't being counted on as an everyday OF from April, he'll be great depth for when an OF is needed. If you trade Revere and DFA Saunders to open a spot for Pompey, what happens when someone gets hurt?
There will be 500+ PA for Pompey even he's not initially one of the everyday 3. If he kicks the door down in those PA, then you pencil him in as a starter in 2017.
