  1. Well, North is an asset to any league, but if for some reason he wasn't able to continue, GD would be a great replacement.
  2. It feels like GD is going to walk away from all of this the permanent manager of the BALCO Pharm Team.
  3. Have you considered replacing North with someone who would allow us to maintain the high standards of integrity that we've all been enjoying since the league's inception?
  4. Yeah, you really started pushing the boundaries when it came to using waiver wire guys for the pitching staff. Your team is still a playoff team, but it's not in the conversation for the top-2-3 teams this year for me like it was the last two years.
  5. North, your team is probably at it's weakest since year one. What's happening with the Pharm Team?
  6. To havok: deGrom, milb 39, waiver 19 To sg: Bogaerts, EdRod, Owens, PTBNL, waiver 94
  7. I remember kofi used to like doing the game recaps, and I'd feel bad when people made of them.
  8. John havok is still around What ever happened to kofi?
  9. Paxton shouldn't be there. Gomes was developed by Toronto though.
  10. This would have been wise, yes.
  11. Trying to hide an erection at the strip club.
  12. He's also a pretty big injury red flag on top of that lol. This is insanity. It definitely feels like pen guys who would have been minor league signings in past years are getting lucrative multi-year deals this year. Not sure if that's true, but it feels true.
  13. We're talking about a world where the Axfords and Cisheks of the world are getting multi-year commitments at 5M/year. OF course someone would take Smoak.
  14. It's interesting to compare two teams with similar draft restrictions over the same period. Oakland, for example, was always lauded for their drafting and development, but over the same stretch that JPR was here they didn't outperform him at the draft. If you look at likely 5+ win careers (I think this is all of them): Lind, Cecil, Hill, Marcum, Janssen, Marisnick, Goins, Paxton, Loup, Gomes, Hutchison Swisher, Ziegler, Street, Suzuki, Cahill, Doolittle, Ross, Pennington It was really, really hard to hit on impact talent under the old draft bonus structure if you couldn't go overslot.
  15. He didn't have the mandate to tear it down in rebuild. He was told to win. This affected his drafting in two ways: 1) He was inclined to draft college players who could ostensibly bolster the MLB roster for league min in short order. 2) His paltry resources went to the MLB team and he wasn't allowed to go overslot on the draft or dip into the international market. The "JPR couldn't draft" argument is lazy and misinformed. JPR wasn't given the opportunity to draft well
  16. Trade looks a lot better for Houston with Appel replacing Fisher.
  17. It's insane. I thought he'd get like $1M after the year he just had. Guys like him and Axford are getting huge money to probably be a couple runs above replacement.
  18. The fact that Gibbers traded two young guys for Upton isn't getting enough attention.
  19. Wow $10M guaranteed for Cishek over two years.
  20. His fastball is pretty legit.
  21. I told you not to share the nudes of Sammy's mom!
  22. I notice Sammy once a year when I'm looking over the DDL standings and come to 4th place in the MC division. I guess there are also the pictures at his mom's place, but I digress.
  23. Nonsense. I've settled in as comfortably mid-tier.
  24. No you don't. Nobody actually works on weekends in high school.
  25. Neither of you are close to the worst poster. Please shake hands and move along.
