I can only really comment on the DDL, but I don't see an issue with parity at all. The most knowledgeable owners, who have made the best moves have the best teams: silvergun, Dinger, North, njh, TRM, the guy who got to draft Trout etc..., then there's a middle tier of teams who have made significant mistakes that have prevented them from joining the top tier, followed by a group of teams that have made very bad choices and aren't competitive.
If you want to join the top tier, or even contend for the playoffs, you are given every opportunity to do so, but you're going to have to make good moves.
There's a reason why we're coming up on four years with all original owners: the league is basically perfect. Diverging from a formula that works just for the sake of being different, is ill-advised I think. We have 20 very good guys on this list, and have a chance to have a very, very good league.
