I mentioned this another thread, but I think he's a perfect fit. If Pompey plays the way everyone hopes, Jackson is a fourth OF who can play all three spots, pinch run, and hit at close to an average level. He can also fill in for long stretches and probably play at a 2-win pace at all three OF spots. If Pompey disappoints, Jackson is there as probably a 2-win LF. It also protects the team from actually relying heavily on Saunders. As the 5th OF, they can pick their spots with him and ease him back in.
I wonder if he signs for something like 2/15?
