  1. No, not in this league but almost half of BORED is co-managed. North can't manage for the next little while, so GD is taking over temporarily so North can have his team back when he's less busy. I didn't know before today that King, Ace, or Orgfiller were even co-managers.
  2. I don't actually believe that co-managers had anything to do with his decision, but if this puts an end to teams being run by committee, there's a silver lining to him leaving. I always thought the saltiness was temporary, but it looks like the salt won. RIP silvergun
  3. I don't really understand why people keep talking about a hole being filled, without mentioning that one of a similar size was opened up. Another shoe has to drop before this can be called a positive, but until that happens they've subtracted 1-2 outfield wins and added them to the pen. That's fine, but the team isn't better. Yet. I guess it's likely that Storen at 1/8 was better than the free agent relief market, and they think they can add an OF more efficiently than they would have been able to add a reliever. I hope this is the case.
  4. The thought of not having to watch RA Dickey pitch anymore is pretty exciting. And Josh Thole can GTFO too.
  5. Or, less sexy: I wonder how cheap Austin Jackson will be? He'd make a pretty good 4th OF. If he doesn't make more than Revere, flipping Revere off for Storen and then signing Jackson would be a nice sequence.
  6. Washington is covering the difference in salary.
  7. Value in a vacuum is probably a wash. One year left for each, equal salary, both will project to be worth the same +/- a few runs.
  8. Someone better would be preferable. As things stand their everyday LF is completely unproven at the major league level, their 4th OF just missed the entire season because he got his meniscus removed, and there isn't a 5th OF in the org you'd expect to be better than replacement. Storen is good, and the pen looks better now, obviously, but as things stand the OF needs to be addressed.
  9. There had better be a viable OF added before the season starts.
  10. I wonder where Maeda goes. Before the details of his contract, I would have expected top-100 if he had signed for what he was projected to get, but he'll definitely fall lower than that now.
  11. Was that before or after he optioned Loup to AAA?
  12. The entire thing, but moreso the fact that you've had to spend two pages defending your post because you happen to own Alvarez in a league.
  13. lol, what a ridiculous argument
  14. No. You probably remember me saying that this was the motivation behind the deal.
  15. And yeah, the Napoli trade was criticized by anyone smart the moment it was made.
  16. Eric Thames
  17. There's no reason why he can't be at least average there.
  18. HERPDERP pulling a KingKat
  19. njh has a couple of live ones.
  20. Good for KC. They get to keep their best player. Surprisingly cheap contract too.
  21. The point is to give the players enough options that they feel comfortable with whoever they choose to talk to. Some won't use the program. Others will.
  22. Oh, thanks for the info.
  23. I love this narrative that AA just worked so much gosh darn harder than everyone else that he burnt out. Like his AGMs were putting in 35-hour weeks and he was pulling all nighters on the reg.
  24. Same. I've progressively lost interest until this year the only game I've watched was Can-US on Boxing Day. I went from devoting 100% of my sports time/interest to hockey to 100% baseball.
