  1. Yeah, I'm still not feeling that one.
  2. I kind of like having it. It's a nice quick and dirty way to see where a player's value lies. Definitely better than any top-500 ranking.
  3. Interesting that you word it like that. Tanaka went like 70 spots ahead of Ventura in BORED.
  4. Stroman vs. Archer should be fun.
  5. Jackie Redmond is not attractive. Something about her off. Like her face muscles don't move like they're supposed to or something. And she's bad at her job.
  6. The difference is that the team doesn't care about Floyd. And he wouldn't want a limit anyway. It's in his best interest to pitch 160 innings and hit the free agent market.
  7. I won't start hating you until late April.
  8. Why do you guys read opinion articles like that from the national media? Do they ever make you think about a topic like this in a way that you hadn't previously considered?
  9. Good. Sanchez to the pen plz.
  10. I don't understand how someone can be interested enough in baseball to seek out this forum and start posting but still not be aware that the money it will apparently take to retain these guys is almost certainly better spent elsewhere.
  11. None of this matters. Declining to give Edwin 100M or Bautista 150M will anger the casual fans for a few months, but avoiding such an obvious landmine will improve the team on the field in the long, and possibly short, term. That's ultimately all anyone cares about. There will be new stars to cheer for. Remember how upset everyone was Melky wasn't retained?
  12. Good. His old contract was dumn.
  13. I can'y understand how anyone would.
  14. Saunders is without any question whatsoever the better choice. Oh well, these things don't really matter except to serve as a reminder that field managers don't think very well.
  15. He's already had TJS. It might be as simple as them not trusting his mechanics to let him hold up over 180 innings. 1-3 wins in relief isn't really a bad outcome for him at all if they don't trust him to hold up for 32 starts.
  16. I'll be in this boat if it's Lake or Brown who get the spot. I think the probable outcome for both is replacement level or a bit worse, and think Pompey is likely a better player. Ceciliani is interesting though. He has the skill set you want from a 4th OF, and there is evidence of some offensive upside. He might be a good player. He might be a better player than Pompey. Keeping him to start the season is acceptable to me because; A) there's a strong argument to be made that you're not giving anything away in terms of wins we get to see what we have in the 25-year old C) we might be able to gain a year of control on Pompey
  17. So you get 7 effective starts for 1M and move on to the next guy. What's the problem?
  18. Damn that sucks. All the best man.
  19. I'm pretty sure I'm like 15 years younger, like 30 pounds heavier, and don't have a a bad back.
