    He hasn't been the same since his hip surgery. It ended his 2014 season, and since then he has a 95 wRC+ in 567 regular season PA and 66 wRC+ in 46 playoff PA and his K-rate has increased dramatically while his power has been sapped. Colorado doesn't trade Tulo for the return they got if they think he's healthy, normal, productive Tulo going forward. Maybe he'll rebound, but that's over 600 PA of pretty bad performance directly after a pretty serious surgery.

    Hopefully they decide to cut bait as soon as a viable alternative comes along. I know I've made it no secret, but I really dislike him as a player. A 32-year old 100 wRC+ 1B who gives runs back on the bases and is probably a bit below average defensively even at first doesn't deserve a full-time job on a good MLB roster.

    ZiPS now has Colabello at a 99 wRC+ rest of season (Steamer 104). I'm really looking forward to the day when this guy isn't on the roster anymore.

    You're being really defensive. Declining fastball velo is about the most worrisome red flag there is in a pitcher who's actually pitching. It will be a concern with Storen unless/until he's back up to the mid 90s.
