Pretty pleased with everything that's happened since the start of the season. Carrera was the right choice as 4th OF (I was wrong again), like the patience with Bautista and Edwin, and loved the Grilli trade. Don't love or understand the Smoak extension, but it's not a huge deal either.

Curious as to where people sit on this now. My opinion hasn't really changed at all: adding Happ and Estrada in the short term to complement the win-now roster while avoiding long-term investments and not moving any prospects was a perfect direction IMO. My biggest concern going into the season was OF depth, but even that hasn't been a problem. Saunders' resurgence and Carrera's solid play as the 4th OF have been adequate, and we've barely needed contributions from anyone outside the main 4. Very encouraging first offseason from the new FO I think.

It's pretty unbelievable that someone actually thinks David Jacob is a top-2 fantasy asset in the 2016 MLB draft.

Looks like a good bet to win his division. Though that also says a lot about that division.

Does David Jacob have extreme narcissistic personality disorder and delusions of grandeur? If so, he probably still wouldn't draft himself 6th overall.

David Jacob is right up there with Dominic Dunne as my favourite picks ever.

He just went undrafted in DDL, and will certainly go undrafted in BBDL. You could have traded back to the last pick in the draft and got him.
