Am I wrong in determining that a) Trent Clark is somewhere in the 100-150 range for prospects, and the 20th overall pick in a MiLB draft gets you a prospect in that same range? I think both of those statements are pretty reasonable, but I don't own Clark anywhere, and two posters that I respect a fair bit clearly think I'm wrong on at least one account.

Two comments in response to your posts in here: 1) I disagree that it's an easy mistake to make. It's actually a mistake that's very easy to not make. Most of us have been in multiple leagues for multiple years and never done it. It's a mistake that's the result of carelessness. 2) I think you're either overvaluing the 20th overall pick or undervaluing Trent Grisham. KATOH had him 8th on its top-100 in February, and the FG guys have a 50 FV value on him, and listed him as in consideration for their top-100. The other OFs they had in his tier: Heliot Ramos, Jesse Winker, Seuly Matias, Corey Ray, Christin Stewart. I'd personally rather have him than multiple guys taken in that spot in the draft last year, and if I were Jim I would have chosen to drop Yadier Alvarez instead.

Jim isn't my type, so we've agreed that he'll lose the rights to Trent Clark/Grisham.

Jim's penalty will be very similar to that given to jaysblue last year.

He's pretty much on the same trajectory as Acuna if he keeps going. Unless he struggles at AA for some reason, you have to think we see him in 2019. As a fellow Sanchez owner, I don't think there's any way we see him in 2019, and I'd be surprised if we see him in 2020. The Rays take their time, and there are still things he can improve on in A. The K/BB isn't good. I bet he stays most/all of this year in A+.

Juan Soto is 2-2 with a double and 3 walks. Promote him to AA. A+ can not contain this young lion.

I've soured on him since he came back. The two have published a lot of things recently that I've perceived as being stupid (ex. 30 current hit on Bichette, 40 current hit on Vlad, Yonny Chirinos as the 22nd best Rays prospect despite contributing in the majors this year and projecting as a league average SP). The fact that he's really arrogant and sure of himself makes him intolerable now. I don't remember him being quite so bad before leaving for the Braves.

I've not made a Juan Soto post in a week, so it's time to annoy all of you again: he has a 177 wRC+ through his first 35 A+ plate appearances on a 0.269 BABIP and walked 5 times and struck out twice. If he keeps it going for a couple months he could be the latest 19-year old to reach AA. Possibly on the Vlad/Acuna trajectory.

So Connor McDavid - who just led the league in scoring, dominated all advanced metrics, and is clearly the best hockey player in the world - is not even a finalist for League MVP? The NHL somehow manages to get absolutely everything wrong. What a terrible league.

Not sarcasm. I obviously knew that all of these guys had improved, but I didn't know that their spin rates had all improved. I was under the impression that spin rate was one of the toughest things for a pitcher to improve.

Interesting. I didn't realize that improved spin was contributing to all of these guys suddenly becoming aces in Houston.

What Justin Verlander is doing this year is amazing. It looked like his elite days were behind him in 2014-2015, but he's been a super-elite ace since being traded to Houston. He just looks completely dominant almost every time out.

I've dropped Keon Broxton and admitted defeat on my trade with Dinger before the 2017 season. I got absolutely nothing from Broxton or Kazmir, and Dinger has enjoyed solid SP4 production from Gio, and possibly also a breakout relief season from Gsellman. FU Dinger
