  1. The last straw with FG prospect coverage was honestly the Rays top-31. https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/top-31-prospects-tampa-bay-rays/ Released on March 29th, and look at some of the guys who apparently aren't among TB's top-31 prospects: Ryan Yarbrough - carved up AAA last year and is a league-average MLB starter currently Ronaldo Hernandez - good defensive catcher with power, contact skills, and control of the zone. Will very likely be in BP's midseason top-100 Johnny Field - isn't even mentioned in the Other Notables section, even though he's a plus runner, plus defender, and has been at least a league-average hitter at literally every level he's played as a pro. Has been worth 0.8 fWAR in 40 games this year.

Is there any evidence at all that Ovechkin actually changed anything about his game this year, or are people just using that narrative to explain why Washington finally won?
  3. When Ohtani comes back, in what form is he more valuable to the Angels: doing what he was doing pre-injury this year, or playing exclusively as an offensive player? The bat looks legit, and getting him out there every day, while also leveraging his 70 speed and possible 70-80 arm into a full time RF spot has to be tempting. He might still be a 5-win player, only with greatly reduced injury risk.
  4. Yadier Alvarez just ranked 112 on FG's top-131 prospects. I'd trade him for an upcoming pick.
  5. He's 19 years old and has a wRC+ of 163 in the majors, with as many walks as strikeouts. Putting someone like Victor Robles or even Bo Bichette ahead of him is insane. There's even a pitcher ahead of him lol.
  6. FG midseason top-131 https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/the-updated-top-131-prospect-rankings/ Juan Soto at 9 is egregious.
  7. It was down to Duplantier and another guy for my upcoming pick. I hope Org doesn’t snipe the other guy.
  8. So I have some relievers to trade. Of particular interest to contenders: Hector Rondon - closing games for Houston Amir Garrett - SP-eligible, and has 10 holds to go with great rate stats and probably 100+ strikeouts My biggest needs are 1B and SP. I could also expand a deal to land the right guy.
  9. Honestly, the draft is like 30 deep this year. I still have 13 names on my list, and I'm done drafting at 23.
  10. I was debating between Martinez and Michel Baez, but P2F made the decision for me. Baez it is.
  11. The Boozehounds started Alex Cobb today, and for that I am grateful.
  12. Unbelievable. They're still rostering Bautista and Adrian Gonzalez.
  13. If we're giving SG a full window, you're back on the clock at 5 PM ET.
  14. Not saying this Vlad injury is at all related to his weight. But, it’s funny that everyone talks about fat players being risky because it effects their long term outlook and yet it seems like every time a fat player’s career falls off a cliff early, people go out of their way to point out that it had nothing to do with them being fat. Carrying around a few dozen pounds of fat as a professional athlete certainly isn’t good for the knees. Or hips. Or neck?
  15. Has there been a quieter breakout over the last calendar year than Eddie Rosario? Since last June 9th he has a 138 wRC+ and 36 homers in 650 PA, and he's a plus baserunner and defender in a corner, but it seems like you never heard anything about him.
  16. Streaming that random Giants shitbag I’d never heard of did NOT work out well. That was a poor plan.
  17. 8. jays_fever 9. Hurl 10. torontofan
  18. You do a great job making this league run smoothly. Thanks for that.
