  1. Yeah. With what we've seen from him (fat, slow etc...) there really isn't a place for him here @ 5.5M next year with Travis, Gurriel, and Drury all filling the role of "IF who might be replacement level but might also be league average".
  2. Has this FO traded for a single pitching prospect during this re-tool?
  3. I think Clippard and Granderson find new homes.
  4. My first thought is that I would have preferred a low-minors prospect with high upside to this, but there's some reason to think that both Drury and McKinney might be decent players right now, so we'll see what happens.
  5. Was this choice of words intentional lol?
  6. Yeah. Why would a contender want John Axford?
  7. Yes it is lol
  8. Yeah. If Spanberger starts hitting in Dunedin he starts to look pretty interesting.
  9. Physical/Health Looks trim, athleticism intact after extended shoulder injury rehab last year, added strength to lower half, added explosiveness to stride, speed gains, has pretty well maxed physically Evaluator Wilson Karaman Report Date 05/31/2018 Dates Seen ~30x 2016-2018 Affiliate Lancaster JetHawks (High A, Rockies) MLB ETA Risk Factor OFP Realistic Role Video 2019 Moderate 45 40/Nice versatile bench piece Yes Makeup Has successfully battled back from multiple catastrophic injuries Tool Future Grade Report Hit 50 Fluid trigger, strong hands, advanced ability to manipulate barrel, quality plate coverage, line-drive stroke with all-fields utility; gets big in leverage situations, some ugly ABs with runners on, old vulnerabilities to same-hand spin and elevated velo creep back in, will lose top hand and slice off pitches, higher rate of INF pops and weak fly-ball contact; spoils pitches well, extends ABs; Power 30 Strength to generate some loud contact, best swing plane geared towards line drives; will look to separate in hitting counts, loses swing when he does, limited game utility of fringe-average raw Baserunning/Speed 60 Has gained a step with improved physicality, aggressive baserunner, solid reads and releases on steal attempts, efficient cross-over, multiple clean bags on above-average pops Glove 50 Still tentative in reading contact and tracking, raw in space going back, plus closing speed into the gaps mitigated by present rawness of route-running, some projection for improvement, potential to provide average defensive value through fringe-average glovework across multiple up-the-middle positions on top of above-average potential in left Arm 40 Mechanics have streamlined some on the move, more efficient catch-and-release, well below-average carry, below-average velocity, stretched in center, liability in gaps Overall The odd first-round (CBA) pick as a prep second-baseman in 2014, Wall has worked his way back from myriad serious injuries to earn a recent promotion to Double-A. The makings of a solid-average hit tool remain apparent, though lost developmental time has handicapped his ability to stay focused situationally, and he still comes out of his game and his swing at times. He’s a good pure hitter, though, and has speed and aggressiveness to burn on the bases. Lancaster is a difficult place to learn outfield reads on the fly, so potential for significant development in that area in higher minors. There is a considerable gap to make up at present. He doesn’t show an especially natural feel for center, which leaves him with a likely destination in left, where his speed can help him play as a solid defender. The potential for fill-in utility at second and in center opens up a path to some bench versatility even if the hit tool doesn’t quite get all the way there.
  10. BP from November 2018 had neither in their Rockeis top-10, but had this on Wall: Forrest Wall 2B/OF, High-A Lancaster There unfortunately isn’t much to write about here, as Wall dislocated his shoulder on an outfield dive after just 22 games and missed the remainder of the year. It was a tough break, as he’d shown flashes of improvement in the box early on. He added some bulk, and did well to barrel velocity he’d previously struggled to turn on with any authority in his first tour of the Cal League. The lost developmental time really hurt, however, in the form of lost centerfield reps after he converted to the grass full-time last off-season. He displayed every ounce of rawness you’d expect from a brand-new convert in April, and with speed for the position already borderline, it’s going to be a long slog for him to show he can hang at the position. Next season will be a gargantuan one for the former first-rounder’s standing in the organization, as he’ll require 40-man protection at its culmination. – Wilson Karaman
  11. I hope Tepera is next. Clear out all the non-elite arms.
  12. Please don't make me ban you again Shart.
  13. I had a request to start this thread to keep the other one for other rumours.
  14. I'm not sure what people were expecting for a 36-year old reliever with an xFIP of 3.75 who was picked up off the scrap heap a few months ago. Getting a couple of actual prospects out of this kind of signing is great, even if they aren't very exciting ones.
  15. I wouldn't. You'd just be hoping he turns it around so you can find yourself in the same position the team is in this year with Happ having a quality starter to sell at the deadline.
  16. Pretty sure they could attach $20 to Martin and still not get an actual asset back for him.
  17. How has the Oh return not been confirmed yet, even if it’s pending medicals?

  19. Bouchard is in the deal
  20. Well, that signing worked out very well.
  21. Excellent.
  22. Guys, we're not getting Clint Frazier for a JA Happ rental.
  23. Basically just Boxy
  24. This would please me immensely.
