Alright guys, now that we've all recovered from the Juan Soto hype train, I think it's time to hope aboard the Wander Franco bus. 17-year old shortstop prospects who walk more than they K and ISO 0.250 are pretty rare. I hear his trackman readouts are absolutely nuts too.

Juan Soto is absurd. 2/2 with 3 walks today, and now has a 17% BB rate, 17% K-rate, and a wRC+ of 164. His command of the strike zone at the age of 19 is pretty much unprecedented.

It's really competitive. I'm 43 games over 0.500 and still don't feel safe. It doesn't help that the glut of managers in the 7-10 spots are all very competent mangers (you, jaysblue, P2F, j4l19). 9th place team could finish like 40 games over 0.500.

Baez has a 6:1 K:BB even in this ‘breakout year’. Expecting him to wRC+ 130 going forward with no control of the strike zone seems I’ll advised. Which I’m sure is why you traded him. This looks like a classic sell high. I look forward to my time in Dinger’s signature if I’m wrong.

I'll reiterate here what I told Jonn via PM for anyone else who might be interested: this team is not going to make the playoffs, and there are less than four weeks left in the regular season. Aside from setting lineups for a month to maintain competitive balance, there is ample time to settle in and learn the ropes before making your moves in the offseason. Of course, for someone who wants to jump right in, the trade deadline is this Sunday, so there would be time to make some moves.

BORED, which is in year 3 right now. It's a 20-team league with 20 MLB keepers and 15-man farms. League rules are in the first post of the BORED thread. The team you're taking over is going to miss the playoffs this year, but has some very good MiLB assets. I know Jonn has expressed interest in joining a league, but would prefer to wait for an offseason opening, should there be any.
