Looking at the current 40-man, and I know we have a lack of high end talent on the 25-man right now, but does anyone remember ever having more depth on the 40-man? There are still some black holes that will hopefully be removed once the team makes additions this offseason (Urena, Davis and Leiter Jr. probably being the three biggest wastes of space), but there's depth beyond the 25-man here.
Assuming they add 1 or two legit starters in the offseason, we're looking at guys like Paulino, SRF, Merryweather, Murphy, Perez, and Thornton as depth starters. It's been a long time since spots 25-40 on the 40-man have been this young and had this much potential to be contributing major league players over the medium term.
