We're actually completely out of outfielders on the 40-man after Alford: CF - Pillar RF - Grichuk LF - Hernandez/McKinney bench - Hernandez/McKinney AAA - Alford Pompey - concussed Davis - sprained ankle Jim, this is why it's dumb to trade Pillar for international bonus money. We are the opposite of flush with outfielders.

    We'll see how many they can add. The 40-man is full right now, but they'll probably 60-day Merryweather and Travis and add Adam and Norris.

    I hope everyone complaining about our prospects being 'blocked' by veterans is taking note of what's gone on here. Borucki is on the team. Urena is on the team. Jonathan Davis might even be on the team. Two of the guys who would have been ticketed to provide rotation depth at AAA will be on the team. We're like 1-2 injuries away from rostering complete non-prospects on the 40-man just to field a full roster. 99.9% of time when fans are complaining in March that their favourite prospect is blocked, that prospect is not and never actually will be blocked.
