Doug Fister’s 2-seam moved like that at 89 and it was tough to hit. At 99 it’s prerty much unhittable.

The more I've seen of Drury, the more I think we should leave him there. The defense looks above average, and if he's even an average hitter, that's a nice player. I don't understand the motivation to force a fat guy in at 3B while crossing your fingers that he's only, like, a -5 defender for a few years. -
Sandoval played something like an average 3B until he was 27. He was shockingly mobile for a guy that big.

Young Miggy was in much, much better shape than Vlad. Or rather, he was significantly less fat. Vlad might well be a passable 3B, but there isn't a single player who looks like Vlad and plays a passable 3B.

I get the feeling that flow is to straight guys what lip injections and 'can I speak to your manager' haircuts are to straight women: we think it's a good look, but it isn't at all.

I believe this is just the second multi-year extension given out by this FO, after Smoak's 3-year deal. Nice to get Grichuk locked in. -
