I don’t see how the MLBPA can let Albies’ agent continue. 9 years for 45M is unconscionable. It was obvious from the moment it was released that something nefarious went on behind the scenes.

Kiley suggesting that Albies' agent was stressing that Albies would leave for a bigger agency before starting to make real money, so he negotiated a long-term deal as fast as possible. I maintain that the Braves look bad for playing a role in this.

The season will be a lot more fun to watch if/when a couple of those guys start playing well. None of them will be stars except probably Jansen, but it would certainly help things along if a couple become useful support players. Oakland and TB have won a lot of games with rosters full of Drury's and McKinney's who pan out and contribute 1-2 wins in specialized roles.

The most frustrating part has been the young bats that we're hoping carve out MLB careers. None of Drury, McKinney, Gurriel, Hernandez and Jansen have looked like MLB players yet this year. The season is about letting young players play, but outside of Thornton and Tellez, all of the young players have been shockingly terrible.

Would have been close either way. I'm still annoyed that he got traded just to save $5M when the team's payroll is paltry. Brito and Hanson are definitely worse.

Not blaming Grichuk, but I wonder if Pillar catches that.

I was going to complain about Brito hitting, but under no circumstances do I want Teo in the field with a 1-run lead.

Gift Ngoepe only lasted 13 games before being punted into the sun. Hanson and Brito probably have another week before hitting the Ngoepe zone and getting removed.
