    Hanson doesn't really play the OF and plays a bad IF. Brito is probably a good corner defender at least. and his minor league numbers suggest there's power hidden (very deep) in there. I'd easily DFA Hanson before Brito.

    I think Thomas Pannone might actually be good. Reliever who can be tough on lefties out of the pen in a specialist role if you need him too, but also go 3-4 innings for you in a blowout. I could see him as a pen arm even on a very good team.

    I don't really see what it is you want criticized. Taking a flier on Socrates Brito in a rebuilding season is perfectly reasonable.

    If Sogard and Brito are hitting leadoff in their first games, there is no reason for Vlad to not slot in at 2 or 4 in his debut.

    I've never owned Mazara, but I kind of perceive him as a guy who could have a huge breakout. Not really based on anything but him being beeeg and strong and having a sweet looking swing and great MiLB numbers.

    His AA performance was weird. Struck out at better than a 25% clip in A, A+, and now AAA, but was sitting at 16% over close to 300 PA when he looked like a budding top prospect in New Hampshire. I'd be a lot higher on Alford if he was running that sub-20% K-rate in AAA.

    He's up to 466 PA in AAA and his wRC+ is 88.

    I've noticed that Jim has stopped complaining that he's not the everyday CF on the MLB team.

    Yes, the same people that had the opinion that the guy who has been completely overmatched at AAA was a better player than Pillar right now and needed an MLB spot opened up for him immediately.

    I don't understand why people keep pretending Pillar was some kind of albatross here. He was a good player for several years, and always played hard. He'll probably finish the year with 1-2 WAR.
