  1. I feel like he's going to get nuked at GABP
  2. I don't think it would be enough for Kwan. 4 WAR OF controllable for 2.5 years. The package is super weak: Loperfido is 26 and hasn't really hit at AAA this year. Close to no value. Martinez is an all-bat prospect who is 23 and has been a league average hitter in like 700 AAA appearance. Very little value. Stephen is probably like a top-75-125 guy and the most valuable player in the deal. He has value, but I don't see him carrying the weight in a deal for a player like Kwan unless Cleveland absolutely adores him for reasons not available to us.
  3. Definitely Cleveland
  4. Baez (15), Elisalt (43) and Dohm (45) rank super low on the Mets list at FG. I've never heard of any of them. Both him and Helsley and Duran went for super cheap.
  5. Helsley to the Mets. So we're looking at Bednar, and maybe Fairbanks left as high end relief arms.
  6. So the starter will either be good, or not good? Thanks for the hot tip Passan
  7. That's a pretty good return for Rogers
  8. The Reds infield glut we were all talking about in the offseason didn't exactly pan out
  9. It’s pretty consistent with my view of the playoffs as a crapshoot and the important thing being to get there every year. Look at the Braves WS roster and tell me with a straight face that it was better than the other playoff rosters that year, or better than some of the Jays rosters of the last half decade.
  10. The only meaningful difference between the Braves and Jays in the last 6 years or whatever is that Atlanta got lucky with a mediocre roster and got carried to a WS by Jorge Soler, Eddie Rosario, and Ian Anderson. I guess the other difference is that the current Braves administration inherited two HoFers in their 20s and the Jays have none, depending on what you think of Vlad.
  11. Both him and Snitker should be gone after the season. The entire organization is a dumpster
  12. So Acuna, who has missed basically two full seasons with leg issues, had a sore heel before last night's game. The team not only allowed him to play a meaningless July game while 15 games under 0.500, they let him start in RF. He's now on the IL with an achilles injury and was in tears after the game. Are we quite sure that mismanagement isn't partly responsible for the unprecedented injuries they've had this year?
  13. Yeah, I did the numbers on this when it broke and he would have needed a 100M FA deal after his current contract expires, then another 50M or so after that just for investors to break even. I think he sold a bit under $400,000 worth of shares
  14. On the bright side, it's very funny that everyone who "invested" in this is going to lose their money Emmanuel Clase is Selling Stock in His Future Baseball Earnings
  15. Prop bets on single pitches is like the pinnacle of degenerate gambling. I bet jaysblue doesn't even bet on that.
  16. This thread paints a pretty bad picture for Clase. I think a lifetime ban is the most likely outcome here.
  17. I think we're going to see this reined in significantly in the future. At the very least I think we'll see regulations on advertising.
  18. This sucks for Cleveland
  19. Grant Holmes the latest Brave to the 60-day IL. Their entire organization is in shambles.
  20. Jays are 1 game behind the Brewers for the best record in baseball.
  21. Just realized that Devers has been absolutely terrible in his first month in SF. He also hasn't played a single inning in the field yet.
  22. It's humiliating for the sport. Would be like hockey having different sized nets every year.
  23. The Pirates just went to Seattle and scored 0 runs in 3 games. Skenes must be counting the days until he's out of there.
  24. It’s July 5th and Toronto has a multi-game lead in the ALE
