It really is too bad that this happened. As you say, he's one of the most marketable players in the game otherwise, and loves engaging with fans on social media.
I think it could go either way. Puig has been blackballed and hasn’t been convicted of anything. He’s also not close to as good as Bauer. I think successful legal action would have to be taken against Bauer for him to get the Puig treatment.
Because it makes me sad to see players who used to be good trying and failing to keep it going. I like the aesthetics of a career arc like Seager's that doesn't have bad years at the end.
I don't understand the appeal of more positional substitutions. Force teams to acquire players who are competent at all facets of the game (or lose with players who don't have broad skill sets). Why would we want to see a parade of specialists make up for the shortcomings of the starting lineup?
Hockey sucks. There aren't really any useful prospect lists, and they play in so many different leagues that looking at stats seems like a fool's errand unless you care enough to seek out analysis done by Twitter nerds.
