  1. Yahoo doesn't even indicate who's in the lineups for the games starting in 7 minutes. It's remarkable how incompetent they are. They just let Fantrax steal their entire market share.
  2. Full slate of games today, starting in an hour! What's everyone watching?
  3. I hope you have better luck than I did saying this about Carlos in LoD.
  4. Literally no. I just locked through their trade history on Spotrac and it seems their last trade win was acquiring Ramon Laureano in 2017.
  5. But most of the prospects they acquired seemed s***** at the time, and have played s***** since being acquired.
  6. You have to wonder what's going on in their front office. All of these trades looked bad at the time, and nothing has really changed over time.
  7. Christian Pache apparently getting DFA'd by Oakland a year after he was the main piece in the Olson trade. Trade is now Olson for Shea Langeliers and a couple of dime-a-dozen pitching prospects.
  8. It's hard to say it how it would work. What you're saying makes intuitive sense. But I also remember thinking that going full dynasty would increase activity because it would enhance the value of non-elite relievers, good bench players, and SP7/8 types.
  9. Man, I tried for like a month near the deadline last year to buy 34+ year olds from teams like 50 games under 0.500 and... crickets
  10. FWIW, I don't think your activity is really problematic: you're very responsive to trade inquires (even though you apparently didn't actually close any deals), and your roster is usually well-managed. I hope you don't leave.
  11. Can you bring William and MikeM with you? Make the DDL great again.
  12. Not going to need any pitching wins this year
  13. Also, if you're actively logging in and not making at least 2-3 adds a week: you're too attached to the mediocre dead weight on your team. Bad teams should basically be maxing out adds, and good teams should be close.
  14. There’s definitely a problem. In a healthy league there should be a market for players in the 100-300 range of dynasty assets. I think and hope you’re also right that it will resolve itself though. Probably via new owners when we lose guys who aren’t interested anymore, but haven’t worked up to leaving yet.
  15. Might move Corey Seager and give Volpe the SS spot. I'd be looking for a very good starter + pick/prospect capital.
  16. No room for him with the Hosmer, Rios, Mancini, and Wisdom around to handle 1B duties.
  17. One thing about 20 keepers: it actually forces people to evaluate their rosters instead of holding replacement level crap because of inertia
  18. Hopefully the latter. IMO the format is ideal, provided people are active.
  19. I think it’s going to create a situation where the half dozen teams who are paying attention will just keep consolidating resources and ruin the competitive balance. Even the waiver wire is dead. There are multiple teams without full rosters, and Kyle Muller shouldn’t be sitting on the FA pile. I don’t actually have any solutions, so I’ll stop complaining now.
  20. There's basically no liquidity in the DDL market beyond elite players. I gifted Stroman to Laika last year in a roster crunch after shopping him for a month and getting no offers, it took like 5 months to get an offer on Taylor Ward, I got literally zero offers on Jose Abreu after shopping him all offseason. Even Brooks Raley should have returned a pick upgrade, and would have a few years ago. In the past there would be a lot of moves in the couple months leading up to the season as teams look to adjust their rosters. Now there was basically no movement and half the league's rosters are a mess. Sucks that so many owners are completely checked out.
  21. I'm keeping the ace. Probably only one of those arms pan out, and not to the level of Woodruff.
  22. Hoping Lugo gets 3+ starts in. Not 100% clear he’ll be in the opening day rotation though.
  23. Few things I could do before opening day: - Chris Martin or Brooks Raley for a pick upgrade. They’re both better than anything on the FA pile. - Michael Brantley for a SP or 2B. Can be a crusty old dude, or a red flag if they’ll be back this year. - Cal Raleigh for a SP or 2B.
