Shintaro Fujinami is 6'6 and sitting 97-98 with a wipeout split at 91 and a slider he uses a fair bit. He's also walked three guys in a row. He must have no command at all to have signed for 3.2M or whatever.

Tanner Jeannot returned more in a trade than Patrick Kane. Hockey is dumb.

I don't see the Angels as tangibly worse than any of Seattle/TB/CLE/CWS. If they stay reasonably healthy. They're really solid 1-9 right now (with the exception of Walsh, probably), and their bench of Urshela/Stassi/Fletcher/Phillips is actually decent. Ohtani/Anderson/Sandoval/Detmers is a legit top-4. Things get dicey if Trout or Ohtani miss significant time or they get no production from spots in the rotation after Ohtani.

Yeah. They're saying 6-8 weeks for game action. That's May to start minor league appearances. Probably June/July until he's on an MLB mound.

I hope not! I really dislike Gavin Lux. Probably the laziest defensive player in baseball, and topps it off with a pathetic noodle arm. He's the Manny Ramirez of 2B, if Manny had 30-grade power.

For many people a "quality product" and "3.5 hours for a 9-inning game because players can't stop themselves from spending 45 seconds scratching their nuts between pitches" are mutually exclusive though.

Made changes to the schedule last night: - 20-week regular season (you play 18 teams once and one randomly-selected team twice) - playoffs start August 28th - two week final - playoffs end September 24th, a week before the MLB season ends

I think we'll see a lot less of it. If players didn't adapt it wouldn't have been so well regarded by people who observed it in MiLB.
