It's not like he was walking the park. You take a guy out in the first inning because he gives up a bunch of hits, you're going to gas the bullpen because of an overreaction to random variance. Stroman could have had 4 quality innings left.

I feel like people forget sometimes that Yelich isn't even 23 until December and still has a 117 wRC+ through almost 750 PA. Kid can hit. Wouldn't be surprising to see him have a good run of J.D. Drew type seasons.

I think I've always liked Yelich more than most. 0.340 wOBA guy and I think there's untapped power there. Six-year age gap plus Cargo's f***ed up knee makes it pretty close for me.

Why is everyone handing Pillar a roster spot? He's 26 before the season starts, and our best guess is that he's about neutral defensively and on the bases and probably 20% below average offensively.

I've become more of an IL kind of guy as I've gotten older and become less inclined to argue with people on the internet. Would recommend.

Would have been nice if they'd found a way to land Bourjos or Gentry last year. A Gentry/Gose platoon would have been outstanding, and freed the team up to trade Rasmus at his peak value.

I think at this point he's probably gone anyway, but Rasmus has value to major league team. I don't know if it's at a corner, in center, in a platoon, or as a 4th OF, but he definitely brings a skill set that most teams could use. I see him going somewhere like Oakland that will extract every ounce of value from him.
