  2. Yes. I don't trust professional scouts to watch a guy and determine whether or not he'll be a quality major leaguer, so I regard my own scouting opinion to be complete garbage.
  3. I don't understand how anyone can be so assured that he's going to dominate this year. He didn't even dominate A-ball last year and he's going to step into the majors and dominate this year? I mean, he could. His stuff is good. But objectively that's pretty unlikely.
  4. West/Lopez/Guilmet are probably at least as good right now.
  5. His spring has been pretty terrible lol. 10BB 11K 16R in 22IP. I wonder how long he'll last in the rotation.
  6. Remember when we thought the team had signed Belisario and everyone was happy but you?
  7. God hates Steve Delabar
  8. I don't know that it would be bold to bet against a 1.5-2 win rookie season. I can see taking the over though.
  9. I didn't say that's what I'd do, but I wouldn't have criticized the team for going in that direction. You could probably scrape an 85 wRC+ and league average defense out of a Tolleson/Kawasaki platoon at the cost of your 8th reliever. Travis is probably better than that, but maybe not.
  10. Holy crap, Sanchez walked 6 guys today? Can anyone tell me how competitive they were?
  11. I don't disagree. Just not really sure where Tolleson fits in. As a RH 3B, he's blocked by Valencia, 2B by Travis, and LF by Pillar. I feel like Travis making the team makes Tolleson completely redundant.
  12. Given what's currently in house, Kawasaki makes a lot of sense. He can cover short without embarrassing himself, and start at 2B against tougher RHP. If you're concerned about losing Tolleson, platoon him and Kawasaki at 2B and have Travis waiting at AAA.
  13. It's a shame. The foundation was laid early in the offseason for a great team after some legitimately excellent moves, then he just kind of stopped. We go through the same thing every March though.
  14. A backup catcher who can't catch, no 4th OF, no platoon partner for Pillar, no second IF who can play short, and an 8-man pen that includes two 20-year olds that should be starting in A+. After the amazing offseason moves, the final product should be more cohesive than this.
  15. I don't think they have anywhere near the payroll space for that. And things get a lot more tight after this year.
  16. Sooo happy about this. North would have won $20 from me if he weren't dumn
  17. I kept expecting them to get Hamels or Scherzer, but they never did. Throw an ace in front of Porcello and Miley, and let the other 7 guys battle it out for the last two spots and you're in business.
  18. Yeah, I remember this too.
  19. Kelly and Masterson are awful, Buchholz might be awful, and POrcello and Miley are good but not front-rotation guys. Bad rotation. It might not matter though.
  20. Betances and Frazier I'm pretty disappointed in you here. I didn't even mention Garcia's shoulder injury and bring up that two of your keepers look like wasted spots. I didn't even bring that up and you're here trolling me over ST velo.

  22. Your friend eh
  23. Guys, we're only 1 week from opening night. Lester vs. Waino. I can't f***ing wait. Also, for months I though the Jays opener was falling mid-work day, but it's on a Holiday, which is awesome.
