  1. Forgot him. Below replacement over like 70 IP.

  3. They tried four doctors, and none wanted to cut into him for a minor tear. I read an article a few weeks back suggesting that as many as 40% of MLB pitchers are pitching with a partially torn UCL, and they're either not diagnosed, or diagnosed and not made public.
  4. Looking forward to watching him on Monday. He only averaged 91 on his 4-seamer last year and it was by far his worst pitch. If he can clean up his mechanics at a cost of 1-2 mph of velo on the 4-seamer, it might not hurt a whole lot, especially if the 2-seamer is a plus pitch. Big question is whether the splitter becomes less dangerous if not being thrown off the fastball.
  5. You're probably not rich or attractive enough
  6. He had a 1.306 OPS last spring and a 150 wRC+ through May last year. The problem has been that the thumb wears down with repeated use.
  7. Yeah. I don't particularly like Hamilton as a person (from what I've seen/read anyway) but suspending him long term seems more like bullying at this point than actually trying to help him out. He's also not good enough for me to care that much about him being back to help Silvergun.
  8. I couldn't be more guilty.
  9. Next year is interesting because they'll need a boatload of payroll space for 2017 when Bautista, Edwin, Martin, Reyes, and Donaldson will cost almost $100M.
  10. I think that Coco Crisp is going to be a very frustrating player to own.
  11. A bit of both. I've always rooted for my fantasy players even when they played the Jays. I can't compartmentalize.
  12. Fantasy baseball has ruined my distaste for the other AL East teams.
  13. lol, why? Talented players are fun. I have no shares in Chapman/Kimbrel/Jansen etc... but I don't wan them to fall apart.
  14. So the plan is to burn option years on a pair of promising young starters by having them pitch out of the bullpen needlessly in their age-20 season?
  15. We're talking less than a month for the service time argument. That's like a fraction of a run for a relief pitcher.
  16. If you have to ask...
  17. Why not? You're talking about less than a run of lost value if you hold him back for service time reasons, and that's IF Castro is good. The extra year of service time comes at no tangible cost.
  18. You brought Wainwright up last week and you were told by multiple people that the two situations aren't similar at all. Of course you're here making the comparison again.
  19. I'm not sure what it is you think we should be discussing on this forum dedicated to Toronto Blue Jays discussion. Thread - Osuna made the team 1st response = "I sure hope he does well." /thread
  20. Why not wait until the situation necessitates it though? Even when you're trying to win, you can't just fly off the handle and abandon all reason. We know, objectively, that Castro is very unlikely to be more than a few runs better than Guilmet/Lopez/Delabar/West this year, if he's better at all. Why not try to get through the season without using him, given the low potential reward? If at midseason he's tearing through NH and you need a pen arm, sure, give him a call. But choosing him now, with an 8-man pen, when you've cut a bunch of other arms that are probably as good in 2015, seems silly.
  21. You're the worst.
  22. Yeah, him too lol.
