  1. Sabathia looks like s***. Sitting 88-89 with like 5 mph separation between fastball and change.
  2. Ian Kennedy taken out of the game in the 3rd.
  3. Think Boxy will trade him to me for Waino?
  4. Adrian Gonzalez is kinda locked in.
  5. I really don't understand how Shoemaker gets the results he does. Boring stuff across the board except for his splitter.
  6. Ross is electric. Sits mid-90s and has an absolute wipeout slider.
  7. Pearce mashed for over 100 games last year, then mashed all spring, now he's mashing in the regular season. ZiPS is buying him as a 130 wRC+ guy. Steamer is buying him as a 130 wRC+ guy. He's starting to look very real.
  8. Really like this for Havok. Bruce Cargo Martinez Werth Hamilton All for three spots. I sense another trade imminent.
  9. At least he made it out of the 1st. Bad night to be a starter.
  10. Braves are all over Latos, who's throwing garbage that he can't command. This guy's stuff never made it back with him last year.
  11. Nah, I don't wish bad things on you. We both took a chance on risky players and I hope both play well. There was no end to the roller coaster last year with his dead thumb and abdominal strains, and it was incredibly frustrating.
  12. Braun likely headed to the DL. I hate him so much.
  13. Yeah, I though the same thing. Seemed like he stopped inducing swinging strikes later in the game when it became obvious that he was living low in the zone. The bad high fastball might be a necessary evil for him to be at his most effective. There's no evidence that A) it's any worse than last year's, and he can't be incredibly effective while using his bad 4-seamer to change eye levels and set up the nasty split/slider.
  14. I think his stuff looked fine, and he'll probably be very successful throwing it as long as his UCL stays healthy. Full credit to the Jays from me. If Pillar and Travis are taking good AB's, this is an incredibly tough lineup 1-9.
  15. Wow, speaking of unprofessional...
  16. According to Brooks baseball: Tanaka average FB velo in 2014 = 92.74 mph Tanaka's average FB velo last night = 92.63 mph Pat and Buck were bordering on unprofessional talking about how he lost 4-5 mph on his fastball from last year. He wants to throw fewer 4-seamers this year because his 4-seamer got crushed last year. It remains to be seen whether or not he'll be able to effectively set up his splitter while doing this, but the broadcast last night was bush league.
  17. Lucky. It's better to face bottom feeders late.
