  1. Anyone know how yahoo handles games that were completed on a different day than they started? Robertson threw the 9th inning today of a game that started Friday. I'm an idiot and had him benched on Friday, but he was in my lineup today.
  2. Kuma to miss 2-4 weeks with a lat strain. Maybe this explains why he hasn't been himself.
  3. I don't think there's going to be a huge drop off. The FO that was in place was there because Sternberg put it there. Silverman is a smart guy in his own right.
  4. Indeed. It just doesn't have all that much to do with sports entertainment.
  5. I've been a Jays fan my whole life, but I really appreciate what TB's management has done. Eventually watching them 18 times a year when they played the Jays turned into watching them as much as I watch the Jays, and I started hoping they'd win. It hasn't helped that I don't respect Toronto's FO at all. People lose sight of the fact that none of this actually matters, and it's all just a game. As for why I still post here, obviously it's because I like posting here lol. I've been talking ball with the same guys for 5-10 years, am in forum leagues, wrote a bit for the blog etc... Same deal with Hurl. This community is awesome, especially the fantasy leagues. Really looking forward to the next regime change in Toronto.
  6. Do the Rays even have a forum aside from their mlb.com message board?
  7. I've been posting on this board for 10 years. You can kindly go f*** yourself.

  10. The Matt Harvey trade tree is actually a very sad tale: Late 2013: Harvey for Wieters (Harvey goes down for TJS a few months later and Wieters has played 26 games since the start of 2014) Offseason 2013: Harvey for Braun (after putting up a career 148 wRC+ through his age-29 season, Braun has been in and out of the lineup since with a 108 wRC+ in 645 PA) Offseason 2014: Braun for Wainwright (Wainwright tears his Achilles tendon 4 starts into the season) Boxy leaves all of this mayhem with a mid-prime ace.
  11. The Matt Harvey trade is the gift that keeps on giving. Waino is available.
  12. Bad CF, but probably above average on the corners.
  13. The game has passed us by. I, for one, welcome the new MC powers.

  15. This never happened. He's an extreme flyball pitcher who's not even striking out 7/9 and has command issues. Ernesto Frieri without the elite K-rate. BABIP luck in his first few appearances doesn't change that.
  16. It's only the 3rd blown lead by the pen. Second for Castro, and Cecil has one.
  17. I still don't understand why Castro has been deemed the team's best reliever.
  18. I still don't think Braun for Harvey would have been bad if Ryan Braun were still Ryan Braun, or at least reasonably close. He was only entering his age-30 season at the time of the trade and projections still had him as like a 150 wRC+ guy.
  19. Castro is not good. He might one day be very good, but he's not right now.
