Makes sense. Took a quick look at FG and saw his fastball has been good for him. Guy throws 95-96, there's no reason not to throw it up with some regularity.

What's going on with Joe Kelly? He's always been a GB machine with below average K/BB skills, and so far this year he's a fly ball pitcher with elite K/BB skills.

That's a pretty good point. If he's still a 130+ wRC+ guy I understand why you'd want to protect him at 1B, but if he's a 100-115 wRC+ guy, just use him at C and if he gets hurt, he gets hurt.

I don't think he should be fired, but I haven't cared at all for his bullpen management (which is new - usually I do). Castro is being used in big leverage roles and isn't good at all. Estrada might be the best RH reliever in the pen, but is being wasted in mop up duty. Cecil has been alienated by being pulled from the closer's spot one game into the year. Haven't been on board with Gibby at all in this regard this year.

Anyone know how yahoo handles games that were completed on a different day than they started? Robertson threw the 9th inning today of a game that started Friday. I'm an idiot and had him benched on Friday,but he was in my lineup today.

I don't think there's going to be a huge drop off. The FO that was in place was there because Sternberg put it there. Silverman is a smart guy in his own right.

I've been a Jays fan my whole life, but I really appreciate what TB's management has done. Eventually watching them 18 times a year when they played the Jays turned into watching them as much as I watch the Jays, and I started hoping they'd win. It hasn't helped that I don't respect Toronto's FO at all. People lose sight of the fact that none of this actually matters, and it's all just a game. As for why I still post here, obviously it's because I like posting here lol. I've been talking ball with the same guys for 5-10 years, am in forum leagues, wrote a bit for the blog etc... Same deal with Hurl. This community is awesome, especially the fantasy leagues. Really looking forward to the next regime change in Toronto.
