  1. If AA is going to make a big splash I would much rather he go after a big bat like Cano, not anti up for expensive SP only to watch it blowup again. Cano has been pretty durable and would be a significant addition. In terms of pitching, would rather just go after 1 or 2 year deal types like the Yanks did with Kuroda. Not going to be cheap on an annual basis, but takes a lot of long-term risk out of the equation and allows this team to hopefully develop an arm or two internally. Investing big money long-term into SP is just a horrible idea.
  2. Izzy won't net any prospects, and likely the same for Oliver at this point. Davis maybe if he can get back soon and get some playing time in. JJ is the only one in the group that we have any shot of getting anything decent from. At this point AA needs to strongly consider dealing him off at the deadline if it maximizes our return.
  3. Ortiz got injured?
  4. I left, tuned back in and the Jays are down 4-2, seems about right. This is a 90 loss team folks.
  5. This series was not supposed to go this way.
  6. Jays need to win this series if not sweep and it looks quite attainable on paper at least. Time to put up or shut the f*** up.
  7. Jays need to sweep if they plan any type of playoff run. With some key players expected to return soon they need to get into a position to make a run otherwise it's all over.
  8. Either that or Reyes moves to 2B and Kawasaki sticks at short until a better replacement is found. That really shores up the D.
  9. It actually might be a good thing. We need a bat that plays at 3B and Lawrie's bat right now does not. If he can even be an average 2B defensively, it could work out well.
  10. It's so sad that after the winter AA had this is the f***ing team we have.
  11. Obviously the season is not over as one big run gets them back into the thick of things. That being said, this team just can't seem to put anything meaningful together for more than a couple games at a time and realistically they probably have no more than a 5% chance of reaching the playoffs at this point. If they are not at .500 at least by the end of June then I think its fair to say the season will be over.
  12. Nice troll job.
  13. Buck calling that cross-up inexcusable. Says it happens too often. Seems like everyone except AA knows JPA is a steaming pile of poop.
  14. His delivery is too wild. Likely to have very good and very bad outings. Consistency is something I wouldn't bet on with Perez.
  15. I agree, no harm in giving him a chance when he clearly earned it. Just think some people (not you), might be jumping the gun a bit after one good outing. His stuff was good, but he is going to have a tough time replicating that kind of success with that crazy delivery. It's no wonder he walks so many batters and at this level he will get exposed in a big way. That being said, I have no problem with him being a mop up guy until better alternatives become available.
  16. Perez is just a disaster waiting to happen. Wagner on the other hand looks promising.
  17. As an occasional disciplined gambler, when something looks too good to be true, it ALWAYS is.
  18. No idea either. I bet from time to time, but that is an absurd bet.
