Mike_Wilner's Achievements

  1. Adam Lind is the type of guy we need. .600 slugging percentage on days when we lose to a team with a record below .500
  2. I only do that at a .203 clip
  3. Cano would be a good signing. His age 40 season is going to be really good
  4. I approve of this stat
  5. 1) Wrench 2) Hammer 3) Saw 4) Screwdriver 5) Shovel
  6. Gose can be a 5 tool player one day, and he has all the potential in the world, but he hasn't hit over .200 in games that take place on a high holiday and that concerns me because there's a pretty big jewish fanbase in Toronto and don't forget the Yankees are in the AL East as well.
  7. 2014 lineup C - McCann/ JPA 1B - Morales 2B - Kinsler 3B - Lawrie SS - Reyes OF - Bautista OF - Rasmus OF - Melky SP - Garza SP - Morrow SP - Dickey SP - Buehrle SP - Happ
  8. The only trade that should involve Bautista is one for Bryce Harper or Mike Trout
  9. Chin Soo Choo is old and won't be able to play defense much longer plus he has a .249 average in ballparks that start with the letter R so that doesn't bode well for us. Ellsbury has only hit .135 with runners in scoring position on sundays that follow a statutory holiday so I would definitely be careful there. The Jays don't need to tinker with the outfield that much unless it means finding an upgrade for Rasmus (just kidding, he's a 5 tool player). The only area where upgrades are required are catcher and second base. Catcher can be addressed by signing McCann this offseason and Kolton Wong, Profar or Kinsler should be traded for without trading outfielders. However even if this doesn't happen, we will be fine because JP hits lots of homeruns and has a .512 average on days when he allows 2 or more pass balls
  10. Now I don't normally do this, but I know a lot of people often ask me to make predictions and generalizations, so I finally gave in. Any of the following players should be viewed as expendable: - Encarnacion - Lind - Melky - Josh Johnson - Buerhle - Arencibia - Rasmus - Gose - Rajai Davis - Mark DeRosa - Bonifacio - Izturis - Any bullpen arm - R.A. Dickey BUT the return must yield guys who are going to be able to contribute to the major league club immediately and we can't fix positions such as second base at the expense of creating holes elsewhere. I'm talking Ian Kinsler or Jurickson Profar folks. I also think AA might try and sign guys like Brian McCann or Kendrys Morales this offseason. I personally wouldn't mind him going after David Murphy either.
  11. He's a stud and a number 2 pitcher on any team in the league.
  12. The Jays have solid starting pitching. The rotation will be 1) Ricky Romero 2) Brandon Morrow 3) Kyle Drabek 4) RA Dickey 5) Dustin McGowan
  13. Dirk Hayhurst is a solid bullpen arm and likely has a more promising career as a major league pitcher at this point than Dustin McGowan or Ricky Romero
  14. Jurickson Profar is 0-12 in Day games that are on a Monday or Thursday this season. Not a good sign from a guy who you would be building a franchise around.
