  1. Also are we playing a balanced or unbalanced schedule? I'm fine either way but an unbalanced schedule is a great way to promote interleague trading and create divisional rivalries.
  2. You are either interested or you are not. For me I have no interest in questioning people for anything of this nature. It's almost always better to move on and find someone else.
  3. Especially with RP. That being said I am not sure I want to get rid of Revere so easily. I like the idea of having additional depth like Pompey and Saunders heading into a contending season.
  4. He just said he wouldn't do it. No point in pushing someone into something they have little interest in.
  5. Had to open your big mouth. Not a single pick since my opening selection.
  6. I'll select Spittin.
  7. I think that would be ideal. Gives us something else to look forward to mid season.
  8. I assume we will be able to trade picks before the draft?
  9. Is there a tentative draft date set?
  10. I agree with this. It gives the new entrants a chance to have some say in their team and will give a savy owner a chance to get their team on track to better results.
  11. Valid point. Could set certain rosters up for a cyclical roundabout between the mid tier and bottom feeders with no hope in site. I'm actually in favour of injecting new blood into the league via this method. I would propose the bottom 3 teams get replaced every year. When a team is replaced the new team owner is given a bye in their first year and must produce results by the end of their second full year of running their team. The bottom 3 teams will always be any team that does not meet this criteria. Ie. If after the first year 3 new owners are brought in and 2 of them finish in the bottom 3, then the two teams directly above them who are not new members will be replaced. Following this method, the top 14 teams will always be protected and we give new members a reasonable amount of time to get out of the gutter.
  12. But then you would have to give any new member at least a couple years before subjecting them to the bottom 3 rule. If someone comes in and takes over an albatross roster, it wouldn't be fair to kick them out at the end of the year if they finish bottom 3.
  13. Not sure about that. A big TV deal and most owners are laughing.
  14. Only in earth years. In Spanky years he is still in his 20s and that's what counts.
  15. This rotation should be sufficient with our lineup as long as the pen is properly addressed. An upgrade to the rotation would be nice but not necessary Imo.
  16. This place....
  17. It would be difficult to trade him period. Let's give him a chance to start before making an internal decision.
  18. I'd like to see Osuna given a shot at the rotation. There is no need to deal him at this point Imo. It's more likely he opens the year as the closer but I'm sure the internal brass would rather stretch him out and bring in a short term stopgap to close out games.
  19. Osuna could be a very good SP long term, if not he has only burned 1 year. Moving him would be an albatross as it's unlikely he gets sufficient value at the moment. He should be starting Imo, but given the teams circumstances he likely closes in 2016.
  20. Interesting comments about Hutchison. Hopefully Shapiro is just building up Hutch for the fanbase and not actually looking to deal him. Would be an excellent and cheap 6th SP for 2016 (at least to start the season).
  21. He is a solid player but very unsexy option. At his cost however, I could see why many GM'S would be deterred. On most teams he is an underwhelming starter, but on this roster he is a solid complimentary piece to a juggernaut offence.
  22. Revere might not even get nothing in return from most teams. He has value for out team as constructed but at his salary he doesn't have much if any value at all.
  23. Let's focus on the big picture. Thole is fine as a backup. Add some AAA depth and a few arms in the pen and were ready to rock and roll.
