  1. s***** bunt double play (yeah I know you were being rhetorical)
  2. Another tease Runners on but no runs Gotta get some in boyz
  3. Well that's a good question too Cause Stroman is now IN No idea what they'll do with Morrow...
  4. Sure, and it's a separate pool of money, right?
  5. MLB.com: The Red Sox have signed top international free-agent pitcher Christopher Acosta to a signing bonus worth $1.5 million, according to industry sources. The club did not confirm the signing. The right-handed Acosta, who ranks No. 6 on MLB.com's Top 30 International Prospects list ,is among the best pitchers on the international market this year, and he will be a welcome addition to the club's Minor League system. The Red Sox have also been linked to right-handed pitcher Anderson Espinonza from Venezuela. Espinoza is ranked at No. 10. Acosta's fastball hovers in the 88-92 mph range, and his changeup might be his best pitch. The 6-foot-3, 170-pound Acosta also has an effective curveball that has a good rotation with bite, and he uses it in the strike zone early in counts and as a strikeout pitch. The 16-year-old has been praised for his command and his overall feel for pitching. He is still fine-tuning his delivery. Acosta is based in La Vega, Dominican Republic, and is trained by Alberto Faña. In accordance to the Collective Bargaining Agreement, each team is allotted a $700,000 base and a bonus pool based on the team's record in 2013 for the international signing period that started July 2. Boston's bonus pool total for this year's signing period is $1,881,700.
  6. LOLO sure Won't delete it just yet
  7. I know Regardless, acquiring a quality 1/2 caliber starter helps with the top of the rotation, the bottom of the rotation and the bullpen all at once (unless Happ is included in the package going way for some reason) Happ makes a perfectly decent swing/long man for the rest of the season
  8. How huge would it be to have early season Juan back??? (or even close to it)
  9. We're all saying the same thing though 1 and 5 are the same thing - because getting a 1/2 like Price/Shields/Shark/Hamels/whoever pushes Happ from the rotation Agree on 2B Kratz can hit lefties if we could keep him up BP hopefully sorts itself out with Santos and Cecil. It also helps moving Happ to the bullpen.
  10. Lots of long fly balls from Happ + this outfield = bad things are going to happen
  11. Sucks cause Kawasaki has such a good eye and you don't want him to have to flail at those high pitches for fear of them being called strikes FU ump
  12. Here it is: http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/alex-anthopoulos-toronto-blue-jays-mlb-trade-deadline-rumours/
  13. I fully expect him to be traded this month
  14. AA: His job as GM of the Blue Jays is to BRING CHAMPIONSHIPS to Toronto
  15. Thanks That was from earlier and I missed it This is a new one, live now on FAN590
  16. Now talking trade deadline Gord Ash says any player should be available to trade away, even if painful, when the window to win is there you should go for it (of course) AA very quiet at this point (of course)
