No one should have expected the AL East to be all that weak this year Yankees, Rays and Red Sox all should have been better than they were. Combination of injuries (Yankees) and multiple underperformances. I suppose the Sox were the biggest guess with so many rookies expected to play every day.

It's the ridiculous extensions that killed the Phillies under his tenure. AA has NOT had that his problem. Almost all of his extensions have been smart. (Hell, even Happ's looks decent all of a sudden)

Same here They have several more losses than teams they're supposedly contending with. They need to win a bunch, in a hurry. AND THEN they need help from the bottom dwellers. Cause all these games down the stretch against other AL East teams aren't going to help in the battle for a wildcard spot - they're not who we're competing with.
