  1. No AA promised Buffalo a winning team
  2. Some would argue against that It depends on how Happ holds up, and if Nolin or Morrow can deliver anything in the last 2 months I guess you make whichever deal is the best overall deal - only AA knows what's out there and what the asking prices are
  3. But 2nd half of this year and 2015? He'd be great. 3B - Beltre SS - Reyes 2B - Lawrie 1B - Edwon/Lind That's a MONSTER infield offensively. And maybe you try Lawrie SS Reyes 2B next year in ST
  4. Rangers season is shot and they have a monster 3B in AA (Gallo) Rangers need pitching and might like Sanchez or Nolin It could work for both sides...
  5. Dylan - Need points for Glenn, Mastro and Tolleson! (or just say they can't be picked, up to you)
  6. At this rate he just might due to attrition
  7. Dat outfield!!! http://stream1.gifsoup.com/view/342026/justin-bieber-omg-o.gif
  8. I only want to watch today when Stroman is pitching and Bautista is batting It's a two-man show
  9. Let the despairing continue So OF today is LF - Cabrera CF - Mastroianni RF - Glenn Brutal brutal brutal
  10. Egads, that lineup is 50% pathetic
  11. Don't like our lineup matchup today: Blue Jays 1. Jose Reyes (S) SS 2. Melky Cabrera (S) LF 3. Jose Bautista ® DH 4. Edwin Encarnacion ® 1B 5. Dioner Navarro (S) C 6. Brad Glenn ® RF 7. Steve Tolleson ® 3B 8. Darin Mastroianni ® CF 9. Munenori Kawasaki (L) 2B A's 1. Coco Crisp (S) CF 2. John Jaso (L) C 3. Yoenis Cespedes ® DH 4. Brandon Moss (L) LF 5. Josh Donaldson ® 3B 6. Stephen Vogt (L) RF 7. Jed Lowrie (S) SS 8. Alberto Callaspo (S) 1B 9. Nick Punto (S) 2B
  12. Gose gone????????
  13. All things considered I say aim higher, even if the cost is more
  14. Most would have preferred a 1 year deal for either for sure
  15. Fair point Pitchers are totally a crap shoot But none of us liked that Jimenez deal. Most of us liked the Colon signing I think.
  16. Extra advantage of him coming to to AL, no one would have to watch him "bat" or "run" the bases anymore
  17. Any package that doesn't include Pompey or Sanchez I don't think ANY team would give up an A-list prospect for Colon at this point
  18. Once again though, we probably could have signed him ourselves as a free agent for maybe 10% more than the Mets gave him (numbers souce = my ass) Now we would have to trade something good to get him Free agency can work, Blue Jays FO. It really can.
  19. ^ Yuck and LOL all at the same time Classic Wilko
  20. Another guy who doesn't walk 4-5 per 9 IP would be refreshing
  21. His avatar might explode

  23. Rule 5 Draft gives Blue Jays financial flexibility Toronto flips Moran to Halos for international cap space, cash considerations By Gregor Chisholm / MLB.com | 12/12/2013 LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- The Blue Jays used the fifth pick in the Rule 5 Draft on Thursday morning to gain a little bit more flexibility on the international market. Toronto selected left-hander Brian Moran from the Mariners, but the Blue Jays then traded him to the Angels for international cap space and cash considerations. Toronto will receive $240,000 in cap room from the Halos, which can be used on international free agents. The move was essentially a no-brainer for the Blue Jays, considering they didn't have much use for a Rule 5 Draft pick and have interest in at least one international player. "We knew we weren't necessarily going to be active in the Rule 5 [Draft]," general manager Alex Anthopoulos said. "We have a bunch of out-of-option guys in the bullpen already that we're going to look to keep, plus [Moises] Sierra is out of options. "We weren't so compelled with what was out there. We didn't think it was an upgrade over what we had. [We] just tried to turn the asset of having a spot and convert it into something."
