  1. Even good teams have stretches where they play like crap
  2. I'll menrrion them to more people. And gotta have a party too to show them off again.
  3. VERY timely bump sir What a game. AWESOME job Hutch.
  4. Are there CBA rules about how many teams can be on a no trade list?
  5. I sort of do, but I'd much prefer to only have ONE of Rasmus, Kawasaski and Goins in there against a lefty rather than all 3 Missing Edwin and Lawrie
  6. Looks totally random doesn't it
  7. Phillies ace Cole Hamels has been claimed by an unnamed team on revocable waivers, reports Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports (on Twitter). The Phillies will have 48.5 hours to work out a trade with the claiming team or pull Hamels back on waivers. Of course, if Hamels was claimed by any club other than the Red Sox, Angels, Nationals, Dodgers, Cardinals, Braves, Padres, Rangers or Yankees — all of whom are on his no-trade clause — he would have the right to veto the deal. As Rosenthal notes, the Phillies may prefer to wait until the offseason to listen to offers on Hamels, as they’ll be free to negotiate with multiple clubs at that time rather than the lone club that has currently placed a claim on Hamels.
  8. In day to day medicine you don't order MRIs to assess presumed muscular injuries. You just make a physical diagnosis and treat the person. You use MRI for brains, spines and joints mostly. For multimillion dollar athletes that you want to know how many days they need to be off, and you have your own MRI machine or MRI time, you use it.
  9. Re Adam Lind: his rehab stint in Florida will begin tomorrow. Gibbons says returning Tuesday in Seattle is the hope.
  10. Another classic Gibbons facepalm-worthy comment
  11. Sportsnet, 4:45 PM today: The Toronto Blue Jays are still awaiting word on the status of Brett Lawrie’s sore back, but manager John Gibbons is hopeful his third baseman will avoid another stint on the disabled list. Lawrie underwent an MRI on Wednesday after leaving Tuesday’s 9-3 loss against the Baltimore Orioles with lower back tightness. It was the 24-year-old’s first game back in the lineup after being sidelined for about six weeks with a broken right index finger. “Something was grabbing at me the more I went about my business and what I was trying to do, it was like, ‘Alright, there’s something in there that’s bugging me, and I better take care of this before it gets serious,’” Lawrie said of his back after the game. “I don’t know what it’s going to be, this is my first game back, I really don’t want to make it permanent that I don’t get back. I really wanted to see what it is and get out of there and see what it was because it was alarming to myself.” Lawrie will not be in the lineup on Wednesday when the Blue Jays look to even their series against the Orioles.
  12. Sure. Makes sense to me. That should be some killer production from that platoon. And Edwin plays every day of course.
  13. I would think so yeah Valencia and Reimold are better bench options and we have to keep either Goins or Kawasaki for MIF plus Thole. And what about Gose? Seems here to stay.
  14. LOL #GibbyBall
  15. Sportsnet ‏@Sportsnet 22m Adam Lind will begin his rehab assignment on Thursday. #BlueJays http://ow.ly/A2lam
  16. I am chuckling uncontrollably.
