    Fine But if money is that tight he had f***ing better well trade Reyes or Buerhle. Cause penny pinching won't fix 2-3 holes. FTR I really want to keep Buerhle for next year

    And maybe Lind did have to go Edwin is also a liability at 1B and so finding an ideal platoon situation with a third guy is not easy. If you found a better overall player you don't need Lind at all. If you get a 4th OF type who's good and RH hitting then you still always have a poor defender at 1B. I'm still not happy with the trade but I kind of understand why AA wanted to deal him. Because obviously Edwin is staying. Ultimately it depends on what he does the rest of the off season, his this will be judged.

    I agree there was MUCH more enthusiasm for anything Expos related than the Jays themselves But that doesn't necessarily mean they might not support a new team of their own there well.

    Well, AA never lets players actually get to arbitration anyway. He'll sign Lawrie to a 1 year deal before the arb deadline like he always does. How much? Hard to say. Francisco would be great as AAA backup but someone else will probably give him another shot on a major league deal.

    Yeah I could get on board with this Money saved to sign Hanley Ramirez or Asdrubal Cabrera and some relief help.

    Well it would still be both would it not? Saunders LF Gose CF Bautista RF and Pillar 4th OF to.start the season. It would mean neither Pillar or Bautista would ever cover center which is a good thing. Pompey probably plays his way up next year displacing Gose or Pillar.
