  1. No idea Bbref shows 12 errors in 81 games this year but that's not very meaningful. Same goes for the . 945 fielding percentage.
  2. Morales 108 wRC+ and 0.2 WAR this year (for 11M) Encarnacion 115 wRC+ and 1.0 WAR this year (for 17M plus part of 5M signing bonus) ~ Equally s***** "value" from the DH spot
  3. OMFG have you guys read this?? LMAO https://deadspin.com/vlad-guerrero-jr-actually-not-good-according-to-brain-1829682754
  4. TY So yeah... Let him debut mid-late April 2019 and play 3B for an extended period of time. Donaldson is gone, and the team is going to suck next year anyway Let him play 3B all year no matter what, maybe occasional days off to DH. If he plays third acceptably, great. If he doesn't by that point, move him to 1B next off season between 2019/2020.
  5. I'd be shocked if it's over 130M
  6. Sure is And Martin was signed knowing full well he'd decline during his tenure here. He was still completely worth it - he was an integral part of those playoff bound teams.
  7. Game 1 SP's Verlander vs Sale Kershaw vs ??? One of these 4 teams doesn't have the quality SP that the others do...
  8. Is Vlad playing 3B in Arizona? Are any games watchable?
  9. I'm trying out a new sarcasm declaration system when I respond to a mix of serious and sarcastic posts. It helps avoid confusion.
  10. Yeah. To pay him back for all his underpaid superstar years. (sarcastic post to match the original poster's sarcasm)
  11. Awesome awesome post. Just awesome. A smart FO saw this decline coming from miles away. (serious post by me acknowledging the excellence of both the serious part of the poster's post and the excellent use of sarcasm in the last line)
  12. Yankees and Cubs both good teams but flawed
  13. The two better teams advanced Super heavyweights. Should be a great series.
  14. Rays sign Kevin Cash through 2024 plus an option for 2025
  15. Jays look like a 4th place team again on paper going in to 2019 (f*** you Tampa for being decent again) I'm not very enthusiastic about the short term. We need smart free agent signings/trades to improve the rotation and bullpen plus we need multiple prospects to develop as hoped to be really good by 2020/2021. I do agree though that watching a young mediocre team with potential to improve is more fun than watching an old declining team even if they end up with the same W-L record.
  16. Yeah I woukd have not minded Donaldson accepting rhe qualifying offer Would have made the team better next year and he might have increased his trade value too if you then dealt him mid season That said he probably would have tuned it down just like eveyone else, rightly or wrongly
  17. Come on Yanks Let's make it go 5 games
  18. Jose Ramirez, Edwin Encarnacion, Josh Donaldson combined 2 for 32 with 11 strikeouts for the series
  19. Jose Ramirez, Edwin Encarnacion, Josh Donaldson combined 2 for 32 with 11 strikeouts for the series Ouch
  20. 24 years old Already had his TJS Already a beast in the major leagues
  21. And now they face Walker Buehler in a win or go home game I think they're getting swept
  22. Brewers just wrecking them. This series
  23. All destroyed by a Sanchez 3 run bomb
