    Josh Donaldson is 32 and is likely in a plateau phase at best and seems likely to decline over the next few years Jose Altuve is 27 and could actually get better No way Donaldson can hope to get thia many years so yes hopefully he could be convinced to sign a 4-5 year deal

    Ohtani 2 for 24 with 7 strikeouts in ST so far (usal caveats noted. New environment, nerves, small sample size, spring training, etc) But not how he wanted to start I'm sure Tough call for Mike Scioscia if he keeps that up - how many games do you let him DH in the first copuple months of the season. On the one hand you want to give him a chance to adjust to MLB pitching, on the other hand you're a WC contender and you don't want a better hitter sitting on the bench all the time while Ohtani suxx at the plate. I do hope they give him enough of a chance to hit regularly and I'd love to see him be good at both in the majors

    Yes People don't seem to get too upset about it anymore, seems like standard operating procedure People were maybe a little sour with the Cubs for doing it with Bryant, but they were expected to contend that year. On a non-contending team like Atlanta it makes zero sense to let him start the year in the majors.

    Donaldson has been a top 5 player the last 3 years right between Trout Bryant and Altuve in WAR over that time frame Now whether he can maintain that...
