  4. Did you guys see Kawasaki doing pre-game infield practice by throwing balls back and forth with White Sox fans in the stands??? Awesome Would love to find a video of that
  5. Fackin' Red Sox
  6. Sad to see a fresh start in Pittsburg didn't do him any good He'll never be an every day major leaguer
  7. Agree. There must be legit reasons to develop pitchers the way teams do. He's got a few more years to go When's the last time a pitcher under 20 to get called up to the majors? Even 20/21 seems fairly rare.
  8. I like the format angrioter Love that this new board lets you make tables etc and edit them later.
  9. From: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plate_appearance PA = AB + BB + HBP + SH + SF + Times Reached on Defensive Interference
  10. "Plate appearances" is simple. It literally means how many times the batter has come to the plate, no matter the result that ensues. Edit (one exception) : If an inning ends, while batter is up, from a runner getting out (picked off, caught stealing, etc) then that won't count as a PA. The plate appearance has to "finish" (ie. hit, strikeout, walk, ground or fly out, sac fly, etc etc etc) to count. It's calculating what are considered "at bats" that's complicated
  11. Yep. Wish we had more games against Angels and Astros and fewer against Yankees Sox and Rays
  12. 3/4 of the other AL East teams won today - two were playing each other. Sucks.
  13. I'd like to read this. Anyone willing to cut and paste?
