  1. Will Bautista be happy???
  2. Yeah, that's negligible
  3. Gibby's lineup with Reyes back: Shi Davidi ‏@ShiDavidi 16m Cabrera drops to fifth. #BlueJays vs #Rays pic.twitter.com/yodzSvIDmi
  4. ...Groans in annoyance
  5. Shi Davidi ‏@ShiDavidi Getting Jose Reyes back for Kawasaki is like upgrading a Lada to a Lamborghini, yet #BlueJays fans are crushed. Why? http://bit.ly/14WGlUt
  6. Oh god I feel bad about how hard I laughed at that
  7. I'll take Reyes WTH not...
  8. Remember John Buck's crazy April? It was, not unexpectedly, a flash in the pan. Feel better? MLBTR: Buck, 32, has hit .176/.263/.243 in 152 plate appearances since May 5th. Anthony Recker serves as Buck's backup. Mets fans await the big league debut of Travis D'Arnaud, the key piece in the R.A. Dickey trade over the offseason, as D'Arnaud recovers from a broken bone in his foot. At last check, D'Arnaud was cleared to run in water. If D'Arnaud needs more than a month, Buck could still be moved in August given his $6MM salary and lackluster hitting. The Mets' goal should be modest with a Buck trade; he can back up somewhere and they can receive some salary relief.
  9. Strained? He's ruining Cashman's life... He's been trying to dump ARod and his contract for a year and a half now...
  10. Lawrie supposed to play for Dunedin today, beginning his rehab assignment: http://www.thestar.com/sports/baseball/2013/06/25/blue_jays_brett_lawrie_begins_rehab_assignment.html
  11. On a positive note, the games will now be 5-6 minutes shorter, since Bonifacio will make nice quick outs on the first pitch rather than drag things out the way Kawasaki does...
  12. Did he mean literally or figuratively?
  13. For sure. A good prospect would be required to get Utley or Kinsler.
  14. The problem is we have too many infielders of borderline ability - DeRosa, Izturis, Bonifacio, Kawasaki. 1-2 guys like that as utility are fine but we have too many borderline players who are playing every day. I'm all for jettisoning 2 of them and picking up a legit above-average 2B (or a 3B and move Lawrie). We have too many weak links and we're stuck at catcher and LF it seems. Gotta improve the infleld, especially with these ground ball pitchers we suddenly have.
  15. And power >>> control of course...
  16. f*** s*** Dammit Aggghhhh Stupid stupid stupid game
