    Oh yeah If they fail to make the playoffs in 2014 and 2015, he and Beeston are both fired. Possibly even if they just miss next year.

    A move to 2B moves Lawrie further from walls, rails and TV camera pits. I think his injury risk will be lower. I'm only half joking

    Also very possible AA doesn't know whether to target a 2B or 3B. Seeing how Lawrie does at second for a half season helps him decide. The only think I'm sure of is that he will not stand pat on the roster for long. An upgrade at 2B, 3B or OF is all possible.

    Yep. High risk moves are worth it right now. If it pays off, great. If it doesn't we were sunk anyhow...

    This is definitely possible. Who knows how it will turn out. But it sounds like he's really excited about playing second. Could that enthusiasm spill over in to his hitting? Maybe. Could it somehow hurt it? Seems less likely to me. But again, who knows...

    Agree Izturis at 3B is no way what they have in mind. No chance.

    For sure I've complained about him lots. But no way do I want them to trade him. 2-3 more years and see what he can do.

    I don't know how that works when you come up on a 4 day break due to all star game. Maybe you still have to put him back on 40 man roster even if team is not playing???
