    Holy s***. I just looked and had no idea how bad of a season he'd had in Texas. Wow. Top 10 'prospect in all of baseball last year? .233 BA .287 wOBA and 72 wRC? And non elite UZR. I presumed he'd be much better than this. Though he still doesnt have a full MLB season under his belt.

    It really does make me curious what a team might give us for Bautista. There are several teams dying for a 40 HR outfielder. (Which I think he still is, and some GM's definitely will)

    Garza only had half a season of control. And hasn't been good at all. Good non move by Atlanta obviously.

    What would they give us for Bautista and Izturis? Would want an infielder (Andrus, Kinsler or Profar of course) and pitcher in return.

    And dammit if we do have a protected pick AA had better take advantage of it. McCann or Kuroda maybe? It would be great if we signed Ruiz and despite having same record as Phillies they don't get our first round pick thanks to the previous season. (Though they probably don't qualify him anyway). Also I like the irony of Dickey's ridiculous 2012 season protecting us from the terrible Mets in a tie breaker.

    So yes, ties are decided by previous years standings. That is VERY important here, and thankfully both the Phillies and Mets (thank you R A Dickey!!! LOL) had better records than the Jays in 2012. As of now we are 9th in draft order but it's a 3 way tie, and there's only one team (Colorado) that we could realistically drop below before the season is over.

    We are now tied with the Mets and Phillies How is draft order determined when two teams are tied at the end of the season?? Obviously that must happen all the time.

    Is it a bit mean spirited? Yes Are we taking the joke too far? Probably Do we really expect this to become part of baseball lexicon? Of course not So why bother? I'd say we are finding something a bit fun to do in a s***** unenjoyable season. And MAYBE bringing some attention to the organization pointing out that the fan base is no longer behind this player that we all want replaced for the good of the team.
