  2. The truth is, AA has probably called 15-20 GM's about second basemen. Doesn't mean the calls that get leaked are likely to happen.
  3. Is this Clowntista?
  4. I dunno Kinsler's contract is pretty hefty too Might not cost us too much $$ to swap for Buerhle
  5. John Farrell - What Was He Worth? - Mike Aviles /Thread
  6. MLBTR: The Tigers announced today that Miguel Cabrera underwent successful core muscle repair surgery (a.k.a. sports hernia surgery) this morning. The operation was performed by Dr. Bill Meyers in Phialdelphia, and Cabrera's timetable for recovery is expected to be six to eight weeks. The Tigers anticipate that their perennial MVP candidate will be healthy in time for Spring Training.
  7. Also, was there a time MLB didn't go 2-3-2 in the World Series? There may have been times that games 6 and 7 were in different cities.
  8. Yeah, I can't see STL winning this. No way.
  9. Last team to win Games 6 and 7 of the WS on the road after losing Game 5 at home: the 1952 Yankees, vs Brooklyn. Cards did it in '34 vs DET.
  10. BA from his October 28 game: "Pitcher of the Day: Aaron Sanchez, RHP, Blue Jays (Salt River Rafters): 4 1/3 IP, H, 0 R, 3 BB, 4 K. Sanchez has dynamic stuff, but outings like these have become all too common. He stayed out of trouble on Monday because he doesn’t give up hard contact and misses enough bats, but he was unable to finish the fifth inning. He will be able to get away with poor control more so than most pitchers because his fastball sits in the mid-90s and touches 97 and because he pairs it with a plus breaking ball, but his ceiling will be limited if he doesn’t get it everything under control."
  11. Hopefully... We will have pitching depth to trade over the next year (I hope), but right now it's hard to know who keep and who not to. And several guys who might have had trade value a year ago are big question marks.
  12. Oh hey man Hadn't seen you in a while. Was worried the Dominican Ortiz fanboys had you tied to a tree or something.
