    Who is Nate Karns? Traded from Nationals to Rays. Edit: 25 year old relief pitcher with 12 big league innings under his belt. Decent minor league stats though.

    I'm gonna be in Montreal to see em' live. Can't wait Hoping for some Stroman and Sanchez innings those days. And a Goins walk-off HR of course LOL But yeah 1 PM weekday games on TV won't do much good for most people. Maybe they'll mostly do weekend ones?? Of course, we all have PVR's now so that's good anyway.

    That's not ludicrous. Some do I'm sure. Many probably couldn't care less about advanced stats or don't fully understand them. What's ludicrous is suggesting that a player, in the midst of trying to make a play in the outfield, might make a decision on how to play the ball based on how it might affect his Ultimate Zone Rating. Please... (I have already forgetten who suggested that they might and would prefer to keep it that way)

    A center fielder doesn't "take" a fly ball from a corner OF because he's consciously thinking about improving his defensive stats. He just wants to make sure the play gets made. CF is the boss.

    Some of that increase in pitcher K's and drop in hitters performance is clearly due to the fact that massive doses of anabolic steroids aren't being used by 90% of the hitters anymore.

    Sure. He deserves something, he's a first ballot HOF and a top 10 all time Yankee. It's more just that it's two years in a row. And this time for a player I like less.

    Accepting a 1 year deal pretty much limits him to Red Sox only. They're the only team who can sign without losing a draft pick. I'd love to see him crawl back to Boston for like 8M bucks and then get grossly overpaid for his worst years by the Yankees.

    I'll admit to being enthusiastic about the fact Jimenez still shows stretches of being excellent. Recently. Like 2nd half 2013. I don't see Santana or Capuano putting out a stretch like that. Jimenez may not again either but at least he's capable.
